two outs.

from WHIP stand point, Baez has been lights out. he has been suffering from HRs but his stuff hasn't chagned, which points to the direction of small sample abnormailites so far.

still like Baez as our 7th inning guy eventually, we are a work in progress in terms of our bullpen. but Pedro is someone I do like.

third out. now the game is in Jensen's hands.

6 - 2, Dodgers

Former Gold-Glover Darwin Barney Bucknered a ball off Pederson's bat that would have been a double play. Crawford then hits a fly ball to CF that Kevin Pillar makes an absolutely spectacular catch on, which may have hurt him. Kendrick scores on the touch-up from 3B. The inning then ends with Barney calling Pillar off a fly ball.

Great to hear about Bolsinger.

I can't find your post about Ryu but like I said previously, I've mentally moved on from Ryu and will view 2016 as if he will not be back. Sucks, but I got over it a long time ago and there's no use in crossing our fingers hoping that a guy who hasnt pitched competitively in over a year is going to come back and save this team.

I've had Wood's back a long time but maybe a trip back to the bullpen (where he spent much of 2013) will give him an uptick in velo and help his deception....with Bolsinger taking his place.

This is QG...possibly waiving the white flag on Wood.

Sorry, I added the Ryu tweet to the A-Gon and Puig gone fishing post. I like the idea of Wood in the bullpen, but I haven't quite given up on him as a starter yet given that we still need him as a starting pitcher. His problems are with the consistency of his delivery. I don't view him as a long-term asset for the Dodgers, but I'm trying to milk us much out of him while we have him. That may lead to him in the bullpen, but for now, I'm willing to see what he still has as a starter.

Nah the one from Alana Rizzo that says Ryu is going on the 60 day DL.

edit: looks like Casey Fien is going to be on the roster at some point too.

Friedman and Farhan: Buy low (throw **** at the wall) until it sticks.
Not a bad idea considering how Kimbrel and Ken Giles have performed so far this year and the outlays their respective teams paid to get them.

Anybody have an idea why it seems like Stripling is more comfortable throwing his curve to get ahead but not to punch people out?

Again, seems like it.
I always like to check my eye test/ memory with the numbers but I can't do that right away.

Anybody see it different?

edit:
just threw it 0-2 and 1-2 to Tulo....back to back.
My fault Ross.

great pitch calling by Grandal to get Donaldson out... but man when Yaz set his target for a high heat, I was a nervous wreck. great call to come back with a down and away breaking ball with the counts full.

Chase seems to be flirting with .400 OBP this season so far. I love having him lead off.
