Well, it'll have a huge influence on who wins the series if it shows Whiteside can't return. But Miami can still win without him (especially if Dragic, Wade etc go bananas) and Toronto can still win if he's playing.

Whiteside is also playing for a contract. There is no incentive for him to risk coming back at this point.

Let's see how he plays it. If I were a Heat fan I would hate that he may sit due to risk of injury, but then it's his career as well so just a tough position to be in.

Hope it's just today and he comes back next game.
