Why did you change your original pick? I thought it was a good one

With this selection, I complete my bench. 1990-91 version. I have still around 25 FGA to play around with (or course I pretty much know exactly who I have in mind)

I'll take Eddie Jones. Great shooter, great defender, fits perfectly in between Steph and Pippen.

I think i'll use '96 as the year, at only 9.8 FGA

I've already praised a few teams, but the most recent one that really impressed me is Timmaytime's squad. Curry/EJ/Pippen/Bosh/Gilmore is about as complete of a team as I can imagine - awesome offensive anchor, two fantastic wing defenders, great #2 option (I mean Pippen), the frontcourt duo fits together beautifully, not to mention that Oakley is a perfect complement for Bosh...Great, great job building that team.

Inference and E-Balla's desire for the pick made me stray from Hibachi's shooter.
This was by far the worst round I've had due to being swayed by many directions

I still need a SF that can do a bit of everything, defend, playmake, score, luckily there are still some nice choices on the board...

With my 6th pick in the draft, theonlyclutch selects the stylish, classy Julius Erving

Image

Dr.J is a good ball-handler/playmaker who is a terror in transition and off-ball due to his length and athleticism, a great help defender who can force turnovers and help protect the rim. He is very unselfish and has shown that he can play well with other great offensive talent, so he should fit in nicely with the roster, even though he is clearly an MVP-type individual talent.

Yeah this round was ugh. I had 2 picks in mind who went right before my pick and I have no clear or good path for my next pick. I'm still expecting to finish strong but man the end got a little rough.

Thanks, means a lot coming from you :D

After the Bosh pick I was a bit worried but I think i've recovered nicely, all the guys I was thinking for my bench are gone now though so it might be fun from here on out..

Dr J looks so out-of-place among those role players that have been drafted recently...I'm surprised somebody drafted him that late. There's still one more true MVP, all-time great player left available (and he's not an old timer by any means). I'm kinda shocked nobody wanted to build around him (I strongly considered taking that player with my second pick).

Low efficiency I guess (perception, not reality)

I don't regret any of my picks, but there are 2 guys I'm thinking of that no one's picked who I would've been more than happy with as a main piece. I just didn't end up going in that direction.

76 Dr J would've been fun, too.

I really thought about him a couple rounds ago, (if we're thinking of the same player), but I would have had about 10 FGA for my 3 guys left at that point...

I'm actually confused by this discussion... Because by my count there are still 2 guys available who make my top 25 All-time. Wojoaderge I know is responding to one of them by his efficiency comment, but I think Q is actually referring to the other one with his old timer comment.

Anyway yeah it is jarring seeing De. J picked 2 rounds below Korver but I think people set a pretty hard line in terms of allocating FGA... And from that perspective it makes sense to me Dr J would be one of the last picked in such a role.

With the next pick, Team Narigo selects Craig Ehlo. Hes a good passer, 3pt shooter and defender. And he is also known for this...

Heh, even bigger FGA-hogs like McGrady and Kobe were picked in the 1st three rounds, maybe Dr. J lack of a unique selling point held him back?

I'm pretty sure we're talking about the same guy

Possibly. I think those guys just seem like more attractive targets because they're better ball handlers and do some playmaking as well. Erving wasn't an elite half court scorer IMO.
