Do you have a Kings FO or Vlade quote about the process, after Joerger was fired?

Here's the stupid process source, that's been regurgitated, and done before they even met.

Now how about a little patience.

And the "process" of presenting finalists was stated long before he was available.

So it would be relying on an old statement then Joerger becoming available later.

The moment Karl was canned, there was a press conference with Vlade. I remember him saying that he will take his time and try to nail this one but that was 3 weeks ago or so.

Yeah that was the one.

It's just Voison trying to sound like she knows something before they met, using the old news.

At the 2:00-2:30 mark, Vlade says that "it's definitely a long process...we need to take time and need to talk to as much people as we can."

These comments were also made before Joerger was fired. Things change quickly in the NBA world. Just because he said it was gonna be a long process doesn't mean it has to maintain a lengthy process.

What surprised me is how many insiders used Voison, and this as being relevant today.

Unless there is a new source or FO statement.

Lets hope this is the case then.

Like you said in your post, things in the NBA world changes:

- Joerger becomes available.
- Joerger is interested in Kings' job.
- Kings are interested in Joerger.
- Both parties will meet (or have met) today
- Outcome = ?

Lets see if Vlade can work his magic here and get this done as soon as possible.

Like I mention in my initial post here -- unless Joerger stalls or outright rejects Sacramento, I can't see why Vlade doesn't put in a offer on the table TODAY.

Only thing I can think of is they see her being part of SacBee so they assume she's solid with Kings stuff. Not sure either though.

The fact Kings have spoken to tons of candidates and we havent heard any news, had spoken to GM Chris Wallace AND had discussions about Joerger before his firing, and we heard none of this, tells me the last of the leaks may very well have been fired a few weeks ago.

Vlade flew out a private jet to pick up Joerger in Memphis and another private jet to pick up his family in Nebraska. Took the Joerger family in a tour of the area. Vlade is definitely looking to close.

Maybe next talks include Vivek who'll make the final say?

Either way a deal needs to happen ASAP.

Next round of talks is probably meeting with Vivek, Vlade and Joerger.

Yeah, that sounds about right.

Return to Sacramento Kings
