I've liked his defense today but I think he's been meh on the offensive end. Not as much movement as the past 7 games (I guess he's getting fatigued screening/running around off the ball + high effort defense).
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

110.3 ORTG tonight what a disappointment.

Cavs with 122.9 in the series.

Love can have the hottest quarter ever and Kyrie still has no idea how to find him wide, wide open on the pick and roll.

To seal a game late, outside of a pullup 3 going right, I can't think of a more ironic shot for him to make given how his scoring game has been this year.

I'm glad Kevin love has got his jumper on fire but 20-69 (1-10 from 2 tonight ) from inside the arc is really bizarre. Is this just a cold streak in regards to that because his TS% is only 51 high after this game because he's been nailing 2 pointers almost as bad as josh smith hits threes.

Is he getting mugged a lot and their not calling anything, had a lot of unlucky rolls because it's flat out weird.

His finishing has been incomorehensibly bad around the rim this series.
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

BBR's playoff page will show about 120.8. W/o team TOs on BBR's gamelogs it'll be 121.7. They've faced a 103.5 DRTG on average so +18.2 Offense through 8 games.

It's been that way pretty much since he lost all that weight summer 15.

But 29% is bottom of the league bad. Would you expect it to even out at something like 44% at least?

What's the record for a finals/title run? I think you wrote somewhere (last thread, maybe?) 87 Lakers ran a 119? Do you know the relative ORtg record?

Yeah 87 Lakers are the best ORTG for any team.

Best offense adjusted for SOS (relative offense) for a finals/title run is 01 Lakers at +13.6.

ElGee posted a spreadsheet w/up to 2014. Current Cavs are obviously best ever relative AND ORTG at ~121 and +18

3rd time Lebron has swept the Hawks lol. Teams ill have near perfect confidence in him owning in playoffs: Bulls, Hawks and Thunder

I think its gonna be a give or take given the lineups.

With Kyrie, Love and Frye getting the minutes they are theyre gonna blow the lids off offensively, but theres no way theyre gonna be playing mostly good defense. Otoh the lineups they had in last years playoffs they can still play best non Spurs level defense, but not with Kyrie, Love and Frye getting major minutes in lineups.

Last season too. This year it's up and down, there were nights where he got up but its inconsistent.

I actually thought his leaping was back to normal last season after the 2 week break. This year, it has pretty much been at the same level from the start, and it's a level noticeably below what it's been in his career. Which is understandable, he's getting old, but it does make scoring a lot harder for him.

He's also just a noticeable amount weaker because of the weight loss which contributes to the weaker finishing around the rim.

Guys like Millsap used to eat a shoulder and go flying into the stands and now if they stay semi in front of him he has a hard time finishing over them.

You notice it a lot in the fast break where guys would just plain give up even if they were ahead of him because they would just eat a shoulder or forearm and go flying and now they set up and try to get in front of him and he tries to go around them.

He's just overall less physically overwhelming. That's partly why 14 Bron was such a marvel offensively. He was still huge yet had 95% of his Cleveland speed back. Also he could shoot.

The bicep flex after every and 1 is him trying to show some bravado like he's still the same strength. But anyone who remembers what he was like knows it's not true.

Yeah, LeBron struggled at the end of the game. All those missed layups and then a horrible long 3 with the game on the line...

Where do you guys have him ranked in the playoffs so far? Personally, I've got him at 3rd behind Draymond and Kawhi.

There are only two teams in the East who Lebron has yet to defeat in a playoff series (not counting Cleveland). They are Toronto and Miami. Obviously that list will now shrink to 1 depending on the opponent next round

If you include the West, Lebron has defeated 14 different franchises in a postseason series. The next round can get him to 15. That's pretty crazy. I wonder how many guys have exceeded that. I'm sure there is probably a couple, Duncan immediately comes to mind
