Here is a pick that i hope ATL Boy and xccelerate can appreciate :D

There are without a doubt better players left on the board but I have to take the most elite role player available imo. Give me one of the GOAT snipers ever. 2014-15 Kyle Korver.

1x All Star
FG% = .487
3P% = .492 (1st in the league)
eFG% = .671
TS% = .699 (1st in the league)
ORTG = 122.0 (10th in the league)

effecient as hell with only 8 FGA

Image

I love the addition of Korver here because he literally draws the attention of the entire defense. He's a good team defender and positional defender. Also, his defender basically can't ever rotate for help defense or else it will leave Korver with a wide open 3--and this is the season where he will bury it every single time.

Damn this is tough. Again so many directions I can go with this. I've decided to go with a PG who can contribute on both ends. I'm going to select:

Eek, two players available who I was hoping would fall to me. I need a Robin to Durant's Batman, and these guys fit the bill. At the end of the day though, I have got to go with...

Image

2006 Elton Brand

The 2006 version of Brand really doesn't belong in late round 3. There is a good chance he was the best PF in the NBA in 2006. He impacted both sides of the ball at career high levels, averaged 24.7-10-2.6-1.0-2.5, 116 ortg, 100 dtrg, 26.5 PER, 15 WS... etc etc. He excelled in the playoffs with 25-10-4-1-2.5, 26.4 PER over 12 games and led a near upset over the more talented Suns in a series that went 7 games.

His shot was elite from all over the court, always a threat. Opens up the court for his teammates. If he isn't posting up, he can hang around the baseline and still remain a threat, or at the elbows. Good rebounder, good defender, able to play C if we want to go smaller. That is a perfect fit in between Durant, who needs time at the 4, and Robinson, who only plays 30 MPG.

I am building my team around elite D, so I want some attitude and someone that can shut down the other team physically and mentaly.

Gimme 2001 Karl Malone

Image

Stats:

PPG- 23.2
RPG- 8.3
AST- 4.5
FG%- .498
PER- 24.7
FGA- 16.6

To put it into perspective, Karl Malone was a beast figuratively and literally.
Handsome.

For my next pick, I'm gonna listen to The Beatles — all I need is ...

Image

The Greystone Bay Community Players select PF Kevin Love; year officially TBD, but ti's gonna be 2010/11 (20 & 15 on 14 FGA). Considering the importance of team building in this game, I can't think of a better fit next to a prime Dwight Howard.

1st pick will be Shawn Marion. Great defender, solid scorer, can play the 3 or the 4 and has chemistry with Nash

Image

2nd pick will be Al Horford. Can play power forward or center, shot 53% from mid range on 37% of his attempts, and a great passer.

You know what's cool about this pick? Who thought we'd actually see an old Bobcats uniform!

Image

The Greystone Bay Community Players select SF Gerald "Crash" Wallace (year TBD, and for the record I'm doing all my years TBD until after the draft).

I'm going to go with... after a lot of agonizing...

Bruce Bowen

Will post a picture later. Have to have somebody to guard all of these elite wings, he is a multiple time runner up for DPOY, he shoots the corner 3 at over 40%, takes 5-7 FGA, and gives me championship DNA. Boom.

Let me get the guy that's the 2nd best shooter today and will be regarded as one the greatest of all time. Let me get Klay Thompson

Image

This continues my theme of guys who are efficient and can work on both ends of the floor. Klay fits perfectly with Rondo/Kawhi/Pau Gasol

I need some championship pedigree on my team so I'm taking the Big Aussie. There are some better defensive bigs on the board but none with the all around game and championship experience of Andrew Bogut. His size, passing ability, and willingness to contest every shot at the rim for the full 48 minutes will be very useful for my team. He will make a fine defensive anchor and front court pairing with AD.

Image

Haven't decided whether to use 2013-14 or 2014-15 yet so I can't pull out the stats like I've been doing. But he did finish 2nd in the league in DRTG both years and 1st in the league in defensive box plus/minus in both years. Also worth noting he finished top 5 in block % both years.

The Atlanta Sports Heartbreaks select:

2006-07 Shane Battier, the ultimate glue guy

Defense wins championships, and I needed an elite perimeter defender who could lock up exceptional offensive wings.

In 2006-07, Shane Battier had 4.6 defensive win shares (9.0 total), an offensive rating of 119 compared to 102 on defense per 100 possessions (career high +17) and constantly locked down the opposing team's best scorer.

Battier was also more than capable on offense, with an eFG% of 56.7%. Team's won't be able to leave Battier to double team Kobe (the same way they couldn't leave T-Mac without paying) because Shane was also one of the game's best 3 point shooters that year shooting 42.1% from beyond the arc on 4.5 attempts per game. His FGA of just 8.0 is also a plus.

The Pismo Beach Panthers are delighted to pick Doug Christie with our 4th pick in the draft. Multiple all-defensive teams? Check. Great 3-pt shooter? Check. Another great playmaker? Check. A little bit crazy with a wife thats a whole lot crazy? Check.

I know most of you are trying to play coy with year and what not. But screw strategy. I'm taking 2003 Doug Christie (7.0 FGA).

Brent Barry. Could play the 1, 2, and 3. Good passer. Excellent 3 point shooter. Was part of championships later with San Antonio. Also, the first white guy to win the dunk contest haha.

I was gonna get cute and wait until next round, but I'll get straight to what I need here:

Image

2006/2007

- Defensive player of the year

- Lead the league in blocks 3.3 per game (not only this season, but 3 others!

- All defensive team

- 9.4 FGA only

- 11.2 PPG

- 11.7 RPG

- He can run the floor, has a great mid range game, I surround Lebron and co with another shooter, can catch the lob, he's a great teammate, and knows how to play with stars (Carmelo).

A steal at this point. I'm honestly shocked he's still alive with the centers that dropped right before my pick.

Now if only my next will still be here in 4 picks
