WTF is that basement? I'm not as self-conscious about my OCD anymore, although I am about the fact that room seems kind of awesome to my brain.
The Gallo thing is just an example of what a trade down could look like.. Maybe it's not Gallo, or you route him elsewhere, say to the Sixers for Noel..

Why Noel? The game has passed by guys like Noel and Okafor. The future is big men like Draymond Green and Porzingis who can space the floor.

I hope its more Spurs interest than him wanting to join them. It would be whack to lose to them then join them in the summer.
But that team wouldn't be fun to watch, alot of introverts, no emotions guys on the same team, leonard, durant, aldridge, duncan all very quiet (not a bad thing) but on the bball court it is. You need emotional guys, maybe thats why I can see him go there.

Those guys are stretch 4's, Noel is a potentially elite defensive center, in Deandre, Chandler mode, with insane hops and quicks.. Has Okafor been passed by as a back to the basket 5? Maybe.. But the game changes quickly, coaches are always looking for an edge, the pool of impact players always changes. Are we in a new era because of advanced analytics and rules where pace and space with stretch 4s is the optimal and enduring way to construct a team? Maybe...

Agree 100%. To quote that famous Canadian poet, "Changes aren't permanent, but change is." The three will always be a big part of the modern game, but these coaches, (except Byron Scott) will find ways to take advantage of inefficiencies.
Rim protection will always have value.

No question. Tristan Thompson possibly just made a game saving block on a Schroeder drive to the basket as i'm typing this...fyi. Draymond is also an elite rim protector as well as Bogut. Anyone who doesn't value rim protection is a fool.

I like Okafor. We need someone in there.

Am I wrong to think that an offseason of M. Gasol (trade), P. Gasol (FA), Allen Crabbe (FA) and E Gordon (FA)
while adding a young talent like Skal or Murray or Bender would be pretty good? It's not Durant and Butler,
but it seems Durant, Cousins, Love, Griffin and perhaps Butler are all remaining with their homeclubs.

Some have begun to speculate Conley could join Joerger in Sac town. Thatd be nice...Memphis close to blowing it up. Would be a shame if they sucked for years...

Stevens, who is coming off his third season in Boston, says he will play whatever role he can in trying to recruit players, but noted he considers the Celtics’ history to be the biggest draw.
“I’ll play an active role. I’ll do anything that I can as far as meeting with guys, calling guys, whatever I can after the July 1 time frame when we’re given the go-ahead to meet with those guys. I think the best selling point, I would say that I’m probably not near that. I think that the tradition, the history, the way that the city embraces the Celtics, the way that our players feel about being Celtics, the amount of pride that they’ve taken in that, and this group in particular, how thankful they’ve been to get a chance to play in front of these fans and in this place where those banners hang above you —
to me, that’s the top of the list.
“I’m a basketball guy; I love the game and I love the tradition and the history and the tradition of the game. Maybe that just means to me, but I think it means a lot to a lot of people. Certainly there are other factors involved, when ultimately free agents have to choose a place to play, but for me, those were a lot of the things that obviously flattered me about being asked to be the coach here.”

From the same:
I think that generally speaking, I think that versatility — and when I say versatility, I’m talking about guys that can guard really 2 through 4 — because at times those guys can switch everything and make it as difficult as possible on a number of different positions while at the same time shooting are two of the big things that we just have to continue to focus on.”
Ingram over Simmons says coach Brad. Lol.

I second that. we are better off rolling with what we have IMO.
I don't mind Allen Crabbe and I don't mind M. Gasol in a trade if the price is right, but E. Gordon....dear god please no. and P. Gasol is 36 years old right?

I'm thinking Conley to SAS could happen. Parker's not getting younger, and he would be perfect there. Assuming they don't get KD. I like Joerger and Conley, both. Maybe they could turn Sac around if it did. Either way, Conley re-upping in MEM chances had to have gotten lower with the deadline trades and losing the coach. That pick...

Yeah I've been trying to find someone with legit info there. You'd think Memphis with everything they have at stake would have hung onto Joerger if he was Conley's guy. At least until he resigned, then move on after if they really wanted to go in a different direction.
