Does anyone still think Pat Beverley is a starting point guard for a playoff team? It's great he improved his 3 point percentage this year but he really doesn't have point guard skills and his defense is overrated.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

He was horrible handling the ball and now he has an affinity for that ugly step back shot. Nice to have him off the bench, I want him no where near the starting lineup.

I love Bev. He's not the problem but could obviously be upgraded.

I voted no Dwight, Brewer, Terry. I think everybody else will be back... hopefully Motie re-signs.

Could care less who the players are as long as most of them are gone. Hope to keep D-Mo (though unlikely at a reasonable cost) and Beasley but the rest can go. This season made me re-realize how important coaching is. Would love to have JVG back.

no beveley is not a starting caliber point guard in a contender

neither is ariza at the 3 dmo at the 4 and capela at the 5

we have major issues with the entire roster

rockets should really consider tanking next year
fire morey please ,the sooner the better.....ryan Anderson is a 3 not a 4

I could only list ten options.

I'm assuming that Dekker's youth and potential will keep him on the team as either a project or to be used as part of a trade. His health issues didn't give him much of a chance this season, so next year will essentially be his rookie season to me.

We need to trade Harden if you want to tank, otherwise he'll just leave when his contract is up or he'll demand a trade while we're tanking.

He's an L.A. guy and the Lakers have the 2nd overall pick. Ben Simmons at the 4 or Brandon Ingram at the 3 with Jordan Clarkson at the 1 would be a good fresh start

I imagine Harden could net quite a bit from the Lakers and that would be a fascinating deal.

No way it happens though.

Have to keep James. Yes there are serious flaws to his game but last year he proved he was at least serviceable on defense and in large part you have to hope he can take his game a whole nother level (playing without the ball in his hands). He can close games on offense and you need that on any team.

Bev. Yes he is not a starter on a playoff team but his contract is cheap and is a great Lockeroom guy and team player. Good to have on your bench

Motie only if the price is right. Anything over 13 is a vast overpay IMO.

Ariza ehh I guess but rather find a replacement and have come off the bench.

And keep herrall, decker, and Capela. Young and cheap.

Dumb everybody else

It's fine if you have like you know, a 3rd guard who can do that, like you know.... Jeremy Lin ( he wouldn't have turned this series obviously, but certainly it probably would make a lot of Lin's critics bite their tongue seeing the current Cha / Mia series. )

To be fair, they were planning for that this year and that's why they brought in Lawson, which is of course, an epic disaster in it's own right.

But really, it's going to be hilarious when Lin's like the only guy in the Harden era that actually worked moderately ok with Harden while still being able to do something himself a little at 1

Beverley is fine , he's a guy I would love on almost any team as a rotation guy.

------------------------------

As for this question

Harden : 100% ( even the biggest critic, know that it's more likely to fix his mindset than finding a comparable talent trading him.)
Capela : 85% ( this is the "most likely back unless some crazy deal is offered.)
Bev : 85%
Harrell: 75%
Dmo : 50%
Ariza : 50%
Beasley: 50%
KJ: 50%
Brewer : 10%
Terry : 0%
T.Jones : 0%
Howard : -100%

What are your updated thoughts on this? I'm thinking that the coaching decision will play a huge role in the roster moving forward.

If Vogel is really on the radar for the Rockets then I think that Capela & Motiejunas are definitely back since he reportedly likes to have his Bigs out there. I still think that they should go after Whiteside, regardless.

After seeing Beverley playing pickup ball and dominating a young girl then telling her to get her ass off the court. I def want him off the team now. What an embarrassment.

It's not about the girl per se, it's him acting like a big shot bad ass so soon after being eliminated by a Curry-less Warriors. He dominated that girl the same way Shawn Livingston and Leandro Barbosa dominated him.

Congrats to Kyle Lowry for an amazing game today. He's had a tough 2016 playoffs so far but hopefully today starts a solid streak.
It's kinda funny how our two former point guards are playing each other while our current one is busy beating girls in pickup games.

I think that video was two years old. That's what someone in the comment section on youtube said, if I remember correctly, which I might not. They also said she was like a senior in high school and was talking a lot of trash to him.

That's all just fyi, because me, personally, I'll always want guys on my team who'll show no mercy on the court, regardless of the competition.

There are plenty of questions about his ability, so I probably won't be too upset if we ship him off, but if all that mattered was attitude, Beverly would be one of my favorite players of all-time.

Ok I think it was still a bad video regardless of when it was filmed. And it doesn't change the fact that Lowry and dragic are true starting caliber point guards and Beverley isn't.
