Would prefer Durant goes to the Wizards. But then I kinda don't just because of Markieff. Also wouldn't mind him going to Portland since I live in the area now.

Durant to Phoenix? What are our selling points for him? Golf? Good weather?

At this point I would rather just aim fully at getting our next star through the draft. That should be main and only goal, instead of getting our fanbase's hopes up over something that has zero percent chance of happenning.

The Suns hired Earl Watson for many reasons and one big reason is bringing players here. I don't think we have a chance but I think we will get a meeting because of Watson.

McDonough has the right idea, not the right execution so far.

Better than the previous regime who were happy to give up All-Stars for scraps.

I'm sure the Kings will be blown away by an offer that is centered around the 4th/5th pick in a historically bad draft class+ Len who is on the the verge of becoming a lost cause

We just need to pick a method and go all in for it. Every elite team has paid the price, whether it's doing what's necessary to get high picks or elite players. We seem to be against the former, so I'd be all in on someone like Demarcus Cousins and paying the price whether it's 4 picks and 3 players or otherwise.

We have 15 first round pick assets (10 futures until 2021 and 5 first round players) to go with 4 established players. Worst thing to do is just let all those waddle around doing nothing and before you know it a decades gone without having a single All-Star Player or Playoffs Appearence.

Hope. I would also hope the Suns would be interested. The Kings need to get rid of him. Cousins will bring the best out of Bledsoe. I think chemistry would be great.

Or Boogie would commandeer our team, do as he pleases, take Bled and Knight along on the "coach don't know ****" mentality because neither have strong enough personalities to say anything against him, hampering Booker's development because he's forced to choose between doing right by coach or being loyal to the UK mafia, leading to Archie getting all his minutes because Archie would be Boogie's #1 disciple, unwavering in his commitment to Big Blue. Half-way through the season acting player-coach Boogie would order a code red on Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz because he keeps blocking the **** out of him leading to a brawl bigger than the Malice at the Palace resulting in not only suspension of the 4 Wildcats (everyone but Booker), but also a trial against Boogie for assault with a deadly weapon because he picked Archie up and swung him like a baseball bat at Gobert's knees. Archie insists his being categorized as a deadly weapon was due to the fact that he is a sharp shooter, but in reality it's because he's a bag of bricks.

We do not have the capability to get the best out of Boogie, but we could definitely get the worst.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

I've lived between Portland and Prescott off and on for the last 12 years. Blazers fans are insufferable.

I think it's more likely that Cousins goes to the East, most likely destination IMO is the Celtics. I also think it's more likely that Jimmy Butler goes to the West, most likely destination IMO is the Lakers.

I appreciate the fanbase here. Everywhere you go everyone is repping RIPCity, Oregon State, OSU, Seahawks (bleh). In Arizona, everyone is wearing Lakers, Spurs, Cowboys, Steelers, Warriors jerseys. Arizona has so many fair weather fans it's disappointing and annoying.

Let's say Suns trade Knight, Warren, Len and multiple picks for Cousins. Suns simply becomes Kings. And Kings can't even make the playoffs. Same with Butler and Chicago.
"You need All-Star to attract free agents" - what great free agents was attracted by Cousins, Butler or even George?

Let's focus on draft.

I am no longer on the trade for Cousins bandwagon. Mostly because I know it's nearly impossible for a deal to happen between teams within the same division. Secondly, I don't want Cousins poisoning Devin Booker.

As far as free agents go, there isn't anyone that I particularly like in this class. Al Horford would be good 4 years ago. Dwight Powell might be an interesting option as well as Derrick Williams, depending on whether or not we draft a 4 of course.

I don't think Len is becoming a "lost cause". He sucks on offense but he's actually decent on the other end of the floor; good rebounder, okay rim protector. Not sure what his comp would be at this point....but I'll be happy if he is a 10 rpg/2 bpg guy.

Len is still capable of being a Jonac Valanciunas type player IMO. Once we get Bledsoe back and even Warren, Len should have enough open looks / dump-off passes to be able to average nearly a double-double every game with good efficiency. I think we were asking too much from him offensively this season and that just isn't in his repertoire yet. Keep in mind he turns 23 in June so he still has a long way to go in this league. One thing that is holding Len is back is himself. Basically what Tyson Chandler said to Booker in the Rookie/Vet final video applies to Len too. He has to decide what kind of player he wants to be in this league. Right now, he is Mr Inconsistent, but if he decides to take basketball more seriously and really focuses I don't see why he can't effectively put up 14/10/1.5 next season. He should definitely want to as he's playing for a contract extension next season.
I've been a Len supporter since day 1, and I hope he proves most of the critics wrong next season.

At the end of the season, head coach Earl Watson identified three areas of growth for Booker.

“I think the main thing is physically and you can’t really rush that,” he said. “It’s a process that has to happen naturally, but also, we have the best staff, I think, training and weightlifting staff in the business, medical staff, so building positive muscle, not becoming too bulky and then the next thing after that is stamina. He has to be comfortable being held, being grabbed, being shoved, being hit, and still have the ability to play defense and still hit shots, so stamina is going to be key and then lastly, defending the ball more than two dribbles, three to be exact and defending the post because he’s still going to be young.”

"I haven’t played (point guard) since my junior year in high school,” he said, before adding about sharing the court with Bledsoe, “I don’t think there can be as much attention on me with Eric on the floor also. That’s going to open up a lot of open shots for me. I took a few shots this year I didn’t want to take, just late in the shot clock when I had to. Eric obviously is one of the best creators in the league, so that will be a big help for me.”

Gambo said today on his radio show that three free agents besides Durant the Suns are looking at are Batum, Horford, and Barnes. He mentioned the Suns are really interested in getting a small forward and power forward. He also said that for Barnes it would most likely be a sign and trade since Barnes is a restricted free agent.

Idk how I feel about this. I have never been a Horford fan but maybe he could benefit playing next to real centers like Chandler and Len. He also can hit threes so that is obviously good. Batum is a good player but I have never been a big fan of his either. Barnes is a good player too but how would he fare on a team that is not the Warriors. Would any of these players consider the Suns anyway?

I think all three of those guys will get maxed out by some team. That is how it will probably be for every player this coming offseason. Is it really worth it for the Suns to max out one of or maybe even two of Batum, Horford, or Barnes? At this point, who knows. The money really does not matter that much anymore because the cap is rising every year and you have to spend money somehow. It is imperative the Suns get more talented just so they can at least become a competitive team again. I certainly would be interested in something like a sign and trade of Knight and Tucker for Batum. This way the Suns cap space does not change much and they clear the logjam at point guard. Although I am sure who they target in free agency hinges on where their draft pick ends up and who they draft.
