Al Horford had 14 rebounds in 4 games and jogged after that loose ball as our season ended. Kyle Korver had 13 rebounds for comparison.

That ball has to at least touch Millsap or Korver...our two best offensive options.

Bud still has some room for improvement in his playoff game management.

Teague in at the SG position over Bazemore seems like a decent option that Cavs likely weren't prepared for.

In AL's defense, he spent most of the series either wrestling with the much stronger Tristan or being pulled out to the perimeter by Love.

But, yeah, those numbers are unacceptable.

We need a real Center something fierce.

Anyone think splitter is here next year? They can't sign Horford, Humph and keep splitter, tavares?

That's not even counting Scott and muscala.

Bazemore was wide open. LeBron didn't even care about Millsap; he was also wide open.

It also looked like an illegal screen by Horford, man his screens this year have been as bad as Draymond.

50/50

Tiago could make a valuable throw-in on a larger deal. Could be an important piece on a minor trade, or a huge upgrade to our roster next season.

I think Muscala might get dumped this summer. He plays a narrow role, but struggle with the things we need help with most.

Edy likely has surpassed him moving forward as well. (In terms of long term value.)

Yeah, I don't see why not. Nobody will trade an asset for him since he had a season ending injury.

Regardless if Horford stays Scott got to go.

I would think Muscala would be the first out the door.

Muscala/Scott are Team options
Horford/Humph/Hinrich/Bazemore are Free Agents

Youre prob right that Splitter is here because they cant do anything with him due to injury. I would bet money Muscala is waved or let go, whatever. Humph may not even want to play here, he could and WILL probably go to whoever offers him the most money as guys like him are running out of contracts to get. Role players dont make a lot of money usually. I also think, going by what bud has done in the past, Tavares will get a lot more playing time next year to see how he develops.

The Mediocrity Supporting Crowd on Twitter is in full effect. This narrative is now coming out "WELL, WE HAD LEADS IN THE 4th QUARTER OF 3 OF THE 4 GAMES SO YOU KNOW, WE HAD CHANCES TO WIN"..............

NO. YOU GOT SWEPT, 2 YEARS IN A ROW. Theres no half measures , theres no ALMOST wins. YOU LOST, theres no glass is half full crap. Call it what it is, you got beat by a FAR superior team and doesnt respect you.

Grizzard was tweeting that you sign and trade Horford for Bogut or Barnes (i thought you couldnt sign and trade).

Let Bazemore walk, THJ is your SG of the future. Get a REAL SF. Trade Teague to Sac Town or Milwaukee.

The first order of business for the Hawks is to work a sign-and-trade of Horford to the Warriors for Bogut, Festus Ezeli or Harrison Barnes.

Second order of business, Teague to Bucks for Henson, to Spurs for Danny Green, to 76ers for a lottery pick or to Jazz for Alec Burks.

Third order of business, let Bazemore walk and use the salary slot for a legitimate small forward. Hardaway is shooting guard of future.

Fourth order of business, re-sign Hump. His floor stretching ability could have helped Hawks avoid sweep:

Fifth order of business, stop **** up in draft. If you're going to construct a jump shooting roster, do it properly by drafting shooters.

I'd like to thank everyone who contributed to the Hawks' board throughout these playoffs and throughout the season. Thank you for your discussion, your opinions, and your insight fellas.

I'm all for this plan. Horford S&T for Barnes/Ezeli is something we should do in a heartbeat if given the opportunity.

With how desperate the Bucks will be to finally start taking those steps toward winning, we might be able to coax them into trading us their first along with Henson if we maybe throw in Korver? (Although I really like Korver, and would like to see him utilized as 6th man next year).

And yes to that last point. I can't tell you how frustrating it is seeing ball movement create an open 3 that's constantly missed. I believe Bud's system works, but it's the personnel that keeps it from getting us to another level.

Bud taking responsibility for the team's struggles against CLE.

Some numbers on how much our offense fizzled in crunch time:

In the two competitive fourth quarters of this series so far -- Games 1 and 3, when the Hawks held a lead and had a chance to win -- Atlanta was completely outclassed by the Cavaliers during crunch time.

In Game 1, Atlanta led by one with 4:28 to go and lost by 11. In Game 3, the Hawks led 101-93 with 9:14 to go and lost, 121-108, after Cleveland went on a 28-7 run.

After taking those leads, the Hawks were outscored 45 to 12 and shot 4-for-21 while turning the ball over seven times.

Brian Windhorst, directly following the Hawks final game, reports based on a few conversations he had with Millsap, Bud and others...

Millsap states the team had waited a full year for the chance to get a rematch against CAVS. That they truly expected to compete with CLE. They had the game plan all set out based on the last year and Cavs simply played in a manner completely counter to everything the Hawks expected. They utilized an offensive strategy Hawks hadn't seen them play...ever. They utilized lineups against ATL that had never been used.

Coach Bud, per Windhorst, laments that Hawks played well defensively, but Cavs just bludgeoned them anyway.

This...ain't encouraging. 1) That Hawks just knew they could compete with a team and got swept. 2) That a rookie Head Coach (Lue) out-strategized the reigning Coach of the Year to the extent that he did.

Bud threw what seemed like every tactic he could and couldn't get a single win against these guys...in 11 straight tries now.
