I thought we were running on that hence why I was confused with a Bogut pick and while a took a bench player in Salley

So I hate being the grumpy old guy here, and I will say I'm starting to have fun with the constraints in play, but still:

I don't think adding constraints like this lead to teams that make more sense, I think they make teams make less sense. Even in this league we're judging players based on FGA without factoring minutes or pace or anything which means that entire eras are getting underutilized. Adding more constraints, will have more of that and will take it further away from the dream of seeing teams taking the level of play to a new more beautiful level than we get to see in the actual NBA.

But yeah, just my 2 cents. Feel free to disagree.

Downtown Freddie Brown is probably the first guy to shoot 44% from deep too.

Major 60s bias because of the FGA limit but I still like the rules. It made us all more creative.

Yeah, it's definitely true that the FGA rule encourages post-1990 role players even over pre-1990 superstars, and without the constraint I'd probably have a lot more pre-90's guys on my team. But still an interesting exercise.

Anyway, I'm happy with how my team turned out. Lots of glass-crashing, turnover-forcing, fast-break-dunking, relentless basketball.

I think this is how the numbers will probably shake out but I might still tinker with it:
G: '16 Russell Westbrook (18.1) / '95 Nate McMillan (5.0)
G: '02 Brent Barry (9.8)
F: '07 Shawn Marion (13.4) / '14 DeMarre Carroll (8.8)
F: '90 Charles Barkley (14.9)
C: '65 Bill Russell (12.6) / '12 Omer Asik (2.4)

Total FGA exactly at 85.0, just sneaking in.

S/o to Narigo, picking O-rob, with his high FGA requirement and unproven outside shooting, is ballsy.

Y'know I'm realizing this too. As I'm starting to really think about how to bend my team to the constraints I'm having fun, which of course is the whole point.

So overall my boys come in at 84.6 FGA/G.

PG: '91 Terry Porter 11.7 FGA / '98 Charlie Ward 6.3 FGA
SG: '15 Danny Green 9.1 FGA
SF: '13 Kevin Durant 17.7 FGA / '09 Trevor Ariza 7.3 FGA
PF: '08 Kevin Garnett 13.9 FGA
C: '13 Marc Gasol 10.9 FGA/ '12 Joakim Noah 7.7 FGA

Feel pretty good about my squad, great balance and defense.

ill go with George Hill

Solid on both offense and defense and fine offball player. Feel like he can play both pointguard and shootguard position.

Switching to '93 Rodman to accommodate my final draft selection one that I have contemplated very hard to set up.

'97 Grant Hill

Athletic enough not to injure himself in warmups. Elite playmaker at his position. Essentially the Central Division's LeBron before LeBron. Trying to rewrite the past I've never gotten to see as a Millenial Magic fan

3 ABA players piqued my interest for my final spots all fit my team but the 2 I saw didn't translate as well as I thought they could and had trouble for me making their arguments. The final player was a long debate from another and I am shocked E-Balla did not pick his shooter that translates well to this era.

Austin Carr selects Jason Collins.

Dr Spaceman is on the clock and will need some time.

The 8th and final spot of my rotation goes to Josh McRoberts.

He's a funky player who I actually had been paying close attention to during and after his Charlotte stint. He can shoot a little bit and he's a really good playmaker and ball handler at the 4 spot. He was arguably the best player, or at the very least the main glue holding together an upstart Charlotte team that outperformed expectations and would have made a little Eastern Conference noise if they hadn't drawn LeBron's Miami. Nonetheless he's a good player and gives me an interesting wrinkle up my sleeve.

Not he sexiest pick but he's an interesting player and in my book interesting is always good.

I looked very closely into drafting one of two assists champions, but I eventually reckoned that with Bob McAdoo, Adrian Dantley, Sidney Moncrief, and Arvydas Sabonis on the team I don't really need a ball dominant PG. Instead, I decided that what I need is a 1 who can knock down the open jumper, make the right pass on the fastbreak, and play top notch defense. Also, no one has selected an ABA player thus far. With all this in mind, with my final pick, i'm taking this gentleman:

Well, I have 7.6 FGA left, so I will choose '85 Alvin Robertson. One year off from being the DPOY, and luckily enough he took exactly 7.6 FGA that year.
