To your point, they really had to extend the entire bench based on Curry being out. It through everything off. The rest is huge. If they had to go back to Portland it would have really been draining.

Exactly. Plus, everyone had to play WAY harder to compensate for Curry's injury the entire postseason. It really caught up to them in this series IMO.

When will the WCF start, does anyone know? For either scenario of a Thunder win tonight or a game 7?

It starts Monday if the OKC/Spurs series ends tonight. It starts Wednesday if that series goes 7.

Completely disagree. We SURVIVED with Varejao because Curry and Klay hit a bunch of shots, which is the only reason AV ended up +2.

On defense, we gave back nearly all of those points because Varejao is a pylon. Portland recognizes him and puts him in the pick and roll and AV can't keep up, forcing the help. Dudes like Crabbe and Aminu and Harkless were hitting because we were giving up wide open looks off of that forced rotation.

Against POR, Bogut/Ezeli/Dray should have eaten all of the minutes, and even then Bogut faded quickly. Speights was bricktastic most of the series but people just remember the 3's he hits. Nevermind getting roasted on every pick and roll and blowing interior finishes because he went up weak.

Next series is the series Kerr should actually be using our bigs more because OKC/SAS use true bigs. SAS in particular doesn't have a great point guard to punish us with penetration.

But Varejao should never play, anyone that thinks otherwise is getting tricked by his hair flopping around or isn't paying attention. Ezeli, even dropping the ball on offense, is an infinitely better defensive option.

This is Kerr doing his regular season cumbaya schtick sellin "strength in numbers." I'm fine with that regular season stuff in the regular season because you need to maintain the lockerroom, but in the **** playoffs, the best players should play.

If I know anything about Draymond Green he ain't missing the WCF game 1 with a sprained ankle. Especially with days of rest at hand

I don't think he will miss any game either. But 100% Draymond is better than 80% Draymond. Maybe he should get Steph's ankle protection stuff.

Yeah he wasn't playing with a lot of energy after the injury.

Curry I'm hoping is more a case of being sore from inactivity and using up a lot of energy in the previous game and the whole MVP ceremony thing -- I get the sense that the team drives a lot of that so I wish they'd keep it short and simple.

He turned it on when he needed to but he feasted on one on ones against Black and Aminu, who are athletic big guys but can't keep up with PGs who are dancing.

Steph will need to beat Westbrook or Green/Leonard and then if the Warriors get to the Finals, probably a lot of Dellevedova, who I think will still injure people in this year's playoffs too. When he gets beat, he rides the offensive player from behind while they've started elevating. Could lead to players turning an ankle when they land or even worse.

Our stars sure did show up this series. Draymond flirted with a triple double through 5 games and Klay averaged over 30 with great efficiency. Curry was a stud in limited action.

One guy who had a poor series was Shaun. Don't know how to explain that one yet, but he just wasn't very effective against the Blazers.

Maybe the additional minutes caught up with him.

Also he's not young either.

Shaun is best used not playing too many mins. Even Kerr stated this...least now he should get back to normal time.

OKC is playing at their best right now.
They are owning the rebounds and running so fast and going to the FT line at the same time. We need to take notes. When Durant/WB going to the ft line they are so tough to beat.

Looking more and more like it's gonna be Dubs/Thunder. Spurs are down 24 at the half with only 5 assists. To think the Spurs blew the Thunder out by 30 in the first game and then subsequently ran out of gas against the more athletic Thunder.

Green not being in top fitness is extremely worrying. He will be the #1 rebound guy for the team, he's needed at 100%. I have a fear that OKC is going to dismantle the Warriors at the boards with Green not in top shape and Bogut possibly being out for half the series.

yeah we have to use Curry's absolutely best form to beat them. Without Bogut we are just too small compared to them

n the regular season, Bogut was highly ineffective against the Thunder and Ezeli missed all three games due to injuries. Speights was actually a factor in all three games. I'm thinking Dubs are going to use a lot of small ball against OKC.
