Doubt we draft this kid.

Masai will just wait until his rookie contract is up and sign him to a 2 year deal with an opt out option.

I don't think we should be too worry about Skal rebound numbers and look at pow situation. Everyone scout miss this stud because he has no shot; look what happen when we have a D-leauge this kid killed it and help us won a game or 2 in the first round guarding geroge. Skal is the pick I'll choose with the 9th if I'm masai

This. I've always been weary of poor rebounders ever since the day I read we might be drafting Bargs. He looked like a poor rebounder and sure enough he was. I could be wrong here, but I think with few exceptions rebounding is one of the mote translatable skills from college to pro. Skal can't even out rebound other kids. He'll get eaten alive on the boards by other bigs and I don't want another case of having to compensate so much for a player's shortcomings. Give me Jackson or Luwawu or whoever falls.

I want malcom brogdan with our pick.

Hes the best wing defender in the draft and he can shoot the 3 pass and rebound. He does it all.

He was also the leader on the most winniest team in the last 4 years. Cant believe hes a bubble first

Working on your shot is easier than working on rebounding tbh. Skal is 7ft with a huge wingspan and jamal murray avg'd more rebounds than him lol. Dude is a mental midget

Yeah, because Skal averaging 16 minutes per game versus Murray's 35 doesn't skew that at all. Keep things in perspective. Per 40 Skal works out to 8 rebounds per game and Murray gets 5.9

I would be very happy with him at our pick as well. He would be an ideal cheap role player who has potential to step up in any particular area you might need him to, on any given night. He's a guy we could have coming off the bench for us in this series for example. It doesn't hurt that he kind of fits the mold of a type of rookie that Casey would trust enough to play. He doesn't need to be a ball dominant creator in the NBA, so his flaws aren't really concerning. I have no issues with his shooting either and I'm confident he'll be in control and basically be able to recognize and take advantage of whatever advantage he has gained on his defender. It's hard to not see him as a plus player in the NBA even today.

Apologies if this has been answered, but when it the lottery? Might be helpful to put it in the title or first post in case it's been asked repeatedly. Thanks :D

I don't know. I prefer Rondae Hollis Jefferson, and he doesn't look so good.

See I knew this was eventually going to happen...

Alright RealGM, hypothetically, at what pick in this draft do you start to consider Skal?

For example, you have pick 2 - there is no way you are thinking about Skal. You're taking whoever is left between Ingram and Simmons.

I think my magic number is 6 - after that I think he's in the conversation.

6! Holy sh&t! Who do you have 1-5?

Yesterday I was thinking Skal would go 13-16. After reading the DX write up on him and the combine stuff today, I'm thinking Masai might just reach deep enough to take him at #9. But you think he will be gone by then. Wow.

I don't have him gone at 6 - the question was more like when does he come into the picture? At what stage are there no more players that are 100% definitively better than him. Could be 6 or could be 12 for some people.

If the lottery is legit fixed, the celtics are going to win...which sucks for us.

The NBA sees right now how bad the East is. There is only one team!
