Mkhitaryan being the best player tells alot about the quality of the league this season

2015-16 German Bundesliga Discussion Thread II
I've never been the biggest Mkhitaryan fan, but he was world class this season.
Dortmund signed Dembele to a 5-year deal today. Things got hairy in the end due to Liverpool's interest in him but Dortmund got it done.

No need to dislike him just because he is Armenian. The guy has been terrific for Dortmund this season. I actually thought he was good under Klopp as well but he was just too wasteful.

yeah lets make excuses about his nationality and ignore that he is a liability every time opponent has the ball.

15 million is very good business for dembele, he is twice the prospect xhaka and cost less than one third

How can you compare an attacker to a CM. Xhaka is at least a top 15 midfielder in Europe. Dembele hasnt proven anything yet.

xhaka is not even a top 15 midfielder in england. and yes actually attackers are suppose to cost more, not less.

He would be top 1 midfielder in Turkey, though.

Their biggest ever players are the likes of Voronin(yeah, the Liverpool flop), Noveski and Manuel Friedrich. Sad club.

Well Mainz barely have 10 Bundesliga seasons now. What are you going to expect? That our best player is Lionel Messi?
If you look at the players produced or developed the resumee looks solid for such a short amount of time.
Schürrle - assisted the world cup winning goal two years ago, transfered for huge sums more than once
Subotic - starter in Dortmund for years including in the team that went to UCL final.
Geis - promissing young DM
Okazaki & Fuchs - starters for EPL winning team
Karius - certainly among the top 3 keepers in the league this season
To say the likes of Noveski, Friedrich or Voronin are the biggest Mainz 05 players ever is an incredibly dumb statement.
Well merited players, especially Noveski, but certainly neither the best nor the biggest (I'm not even sure what he means with biggest) players at Mainz 05. Voronin didn't even play a single game for Mainz in the Bundesliga. How the hell can he be considered the biggest Mainz 05 player ever? Sure did a great job of taking us into Bundesliga that one season, though.

You should probably just accept that Noveski was better than Schürrle, Okazaki etc., Foye. No_20 knows what he's talking about. This guy speaks 5 (!!!!) different languages!!!!!!!!

Wow, this Ibrahimovic stuff from Hertha is embarrassing. This is not a shot at Hertha, it's just something I'm frustrated with from German clubs(especially Dortmund comes to mind) in general. I dont know why German clubs are pretending to be funny on Twitter. They arent going to get a big TV worldwide deal by trying to make their official Twitter accounts childish and look like LadBible and similar sh*te.

According to that logic Shaquille O'Neal is one of the greatest ever players for Celtics because he had a great career for other teams. Or if I said that Franz Beckenbauer was the greatest ever player for HSV because he played a few games for the club.
Truth is that Voronin did way more for your club than the ones you mentioned. The fact that he carried your little Provinzverein to the Bundesliga is much more important than what the players you named have done. Zidan as well, was amazing under Klopp.
Btw It's also funny how you always slag off Schürrle and now you suddenly praise his achievements.
