When can we start throwing portability arguments out the window in the face of LBJ orchestrating the GOAT offense
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

I remember a poster here mentioning hitting up Coach Nick about this. Ask and you shall receive:

His explanation to lebron not getting calls on pick n roll as the screener is beyond stupid. "Rarely will you find a defender close enough to contest let alone get a foul called on them"

Well thats just not true lebron isnt getting uncontested layups all the time just because he found 3 clips in which that happened.

I don't quite agree with his overall assessment...not that I think there's a conspiracy against LeBron, I wouldn't go that far...but watching LeBron finish around the basket is freaking poetry...imo, definitely the greatest finisher for a wing of all time. His touch, his power, his creativity, his ability to use both hands (greatest off-hand finisher imo)...I could watch LeBron finish around the rim all day.

Cavs with ~35% chance to win it all according to vegas. Makes me optimistic considering theyou appeared to have 0% chance for much of the season.

The hypocrisy surrounding LeBron's narrative knows no bounds: last series there was that ESPN graphic floating around about the number of 50-win teams he's beaten (which was two years old I think), implying 50 win team is the definition of tough competition. Here come the Raptors, with 56 wins, but then they're considered weak competition and again LeBron is gonna get zero credit even though he's about to do exactly what people were criticizing him for earlier: face and beat a 50 win team. It's ridiculous.

Better than Jordan??

LeBron's probably the greatest in terms of sheer effectiveness, but I think Jordan's finishes around the rim were definitely prettier.

As I said on the first page, when LeBron beats a team, he doesnt get elevated, the other tea, gets disparaged. A lot of people treat 2012 okc like pretenders in the fashion of the 2007 Cavaliers because they were young but they were a real threat to miami, then lebron goes crazy and his 3 point snipers are hot and they become " kids who didnt know how to win yet " though they pushed 60 and backdoor swept a great SA team.

I'm a little worried about how he's going to perform in this series. I saw a stat on Twitter that LeBron shot something like 30% from the field against Carroll in the postseason last year, along with 1/8 in the regular season when directly matched up against him. Add to that, the Raptors have guys like Patterson and James Johnson who can be switched onto him, and Bismack Biyombo manning the rim (and we all know
how LeBron struggled mightily against length at the rim at this stage of his career). The Raptors' defense has been fantastic as a whole this postseason.

I honestly expect this series to go 6-7 games, especially considering the Cavs' unsustainable 3-point shooting will most likely return to the mean following this 9 day rest period, which could break up their rhythm. The Cavs' defense has been horrible in the playoffs (per DRTG and shot contests per game) and they haven't shot well within the arc or even gotten to the line at a decent rate, coming in at 15/16 in the playoffs in FTr, just ahead of the Grizzlies. Insane 3-point shooting (and good rebounding, though Toronto ranks better in that area in the postseason) is essentially what's been allowing them to not only stay afloat, but sweep two series. If they go cold, the Cavs could have serious issues in this ECF and potentially even get upset, a la the 2009 ECF when they ran into a Magic team that was a terrible matchup for them after sweeping the exact same two teams they just did.

Most people were tipping okc too especially after game 1. People just remember what they want. Lebron got some titles at least so no one can take that away from him. Hoping he gets at least one more

Not seeing it. The raptors play a terrible brand of basketball offensively. Also, James Johnson always gets physical with Lebron and ends up getting out to work.

Lebron with sharp defense. Covering mistakes, locking his man down.
