This is gonna be dope-

Image

Pavel Podkolzin

7'5"

260 lbs

2004-2005

0.0 FGA

For those keeping track I was already at 85 FGA per game.

I am happy with my 7 man rotation (since so many guys can play and defend multiple positions), but wanted to draft a huge dude to give 6 hard fouls on the Shaq's, Duncan's and KG's of the world.

Boss.

Need a players coach, someone who can manage everyone and get them to buy in. I have enough talent that I don't really need an X's and O's guy. Robert Horry called him a greater coach than Pop and Phil after having played for all three. He won two championships in Houston. Led a US team without NBA players(b/c lockout) to bronze at 1998 FIBA. Later led the US to gold at the 2000 Olympics.

Rudy Tomjanovich.
His stance on leadership includes "knowing when not to coach" and letting his players just do their thing.
And of course this has been immortalized:

And I have plenty champions.

I considered 4 different players at this spot, but in the end decided on Raef Lafrentz 2003 season.

Image

This guy imo would be a perfect stretch 5 in today's game. Shot 40% from 3, great shot-blocker, very athletic and mobile for defending PNR. Had a really great year playing 23 mpg or about what I need from him on this team.

Which means Redick becomes the 2016 season and Granger becomes the 2007 season.

Josh Richardson, this year obviously

5.2 FGA; 46% 3 point shooter, and he's been on fire in the second half of the season from 3; 55% eFG. Is also very proficient at guarding opposing guards, and completes my gauntlet of premier defensive players.

Excited about this pick. My backup PG will be... Antonio Daniels (2004).
Image

- 6'4
- 6'8 wingspan
- 21.3 MPG / 5.6 FGA / 8 PPG
- Super, super elite assist to turnover ratio (4.2 APG to .9 TOPG)
- Excellent athlete
- 59.6 TS%
- 19.7 PER
- .184 WS48
- .462 FTR (elite)
Image

Daniels is a great fit here. He played for Pop for 4 years and won the championship in 1999. Like Andre Miller, he has an insane assist to turnover ratio. But Daniels does it in a less traditional manner for a PG. He drives, drives, and drives, getting fouled often, converting 68% at the rim, and making smart passes. He is a long, athletic player who generally couldn't shoot but hithe 36% from 3 this season and had 60TS%.

Can play with Miller due to his length, or come in separate if we need to take advantage of his superior size, speed, athleticism, and driving ability.

I need a bit of a goon that isn't afraid to go after people like Shaq, and this guy and Shaq have gone at it.

We will select...

Image

Dahntay Jones

This brings us to 85 FGA exactly. We needed a wing player and without are 2.1 FGA restrictions, this is the best we can do...unfortunately.
Handsome.

Gonna use an absurd retro picture for this pick just 'cuz I can!

The Greystone Bay Community Players select two-time Coach of the Year (separated by an amazing 26 seasons!) and NBA Hall of Famer Hubie Brown as their Head Coach.

I'll now go fully update my team's Roster Page with years for each player and specify minutes / rotations. PMOTT, please let me know if you need me to post that elsewhere? Thanks!

Gimme Eric Bledsoe. Great defender, can play on or off the ball, shoot, drive. He's a great overall player and he can fit in either with Nash or on his own as a creator.

The Draft is officially closed! Everyone needs to get their roster pages finalized! This means listing players and coaches. Also don't forget to list the season and FGA for each player. Everyone will have until Sunday at 12:00 PM EST (midnight) to email me their rankings. If you have any further questions don't hesitate to email or PM me. -PMOTT3
