If nothing crazy surprising happens ( someone falls due to other teams reaching, we trade up, NBA rigs lottery for us and we beat ridiculous odds...)

Thon maker/ furkan korkmaz (9thish)
- Everyone might balk at this but Odds are with our team we will not be in the lottery much in the future, these are both reaches with current projections but they are swinging for the fences picks. both reaches but they've both got the upside to roll dice on if Masai thinks the character is there for them to maximize their potential Deyonta Davis is another people like here as do I but that is a safer pick,it's hard to argue maker doesn't have a higher ceiling. He is only a couple months younger but has shown flashes of slot more variety than Davis. That athletic testing was literally off the charts too as he set a couple records for 6'11 + players at combine. furkan screams potential for someone looking that fluid at that size and that young. I think he's like 3 years younger than luwawu who again might be a safe pick but I think we may go for it.

Caris LeVert / cheik Diallo/ Patrick mcaw (27)
If doctors approve of LeVert and he's around I think it's a no brainer. Pg-sf defensive all NBA potential with a jump shot and may or may not get to the point of being an NBA playmaker but easily could be a secondary ball handler

Mcaw could be a healthier younger version of LeVert in many ways

Diallo could instantly fill in some backup big mins with a chance of developing into much more

Ultimate swing for the fences draft would be Skal #9 and Diallo #27. Both have top 5 potential but really poor collegiate careers

Maybe grab a second and get LaVert... One of them is bound to not be a bust, right...?

I'd only reach for Korkmaz if we are rebuilding.

It's between Deyonta and Chriss and I've been warming to Chriss alot more seeing he grew about an inch, listed as 6'10" now, and watching his interviews. Seems very confident and understands his flaws and what to work on. It's the exact opposite with Deyonta though. Getting an answer out of that guy is easier said then done.

I wasn't too high on either, but with Rabb back in school i could live with picking one. If Davis, I hope he can improve his offensive game to be at least okay. I'm also worried hell be a little slow defending the perimeter and we need quickness with JV.

Davis has too much two way upside. I think he's the pick. Considering we've looked to pick two way players it wouldn't surprise me if we do the same this year.

Now all this could change if we move up after the lottery.

From watching his games I think perimeter D would be a strength of his. I also think we'd need to think really hard about maker if we are thinking Davis. Davis slightly more polished but maker has way more upside to better at everything Davis is good at.

He's definitely confident and straight forward with interviews. Seems like a bright young man. With that being the case if he didn't pan out it would probably be laziness. This kid doesn't seem clueless like a Bargnani.

Just looked at Chriss combine numbers. Grew an inch and gained 8 pounds since the last DX listrdlisted measurements. Very nice. Liking this guy more and more. Hope we keep Bizmack as the guy who sets the tone for others in terms of toughness along with JV and Carroll. Would be a good environment for a young kid to come into.

I doubt Maker is available much past the lottery despite the major boards having him low. There are too many teams with multiple picks that shouldn't mind taking a swing for the fences.

After his athletic testing hes just going to be crazy tempting in the mid to late lottery

Let someone else waste a pick on Maker. There are other athletic bigs with more skill available.

I felt like this at first but if Murray, heild, bender, Simmons, ingram, Dunn are not available I don't think we are getting someone who a) has a great chance of stepping in and contributing a lot right away
Or b) has a higher ceiling than maker korkmaz

Outside of maybe Davis being a pf and giving us maybe 10-20 mpg

But again I have a hard time comparing Davis and maker and saying Davis is the better option ( I do really like Davis too)

After Dragan Bender

There are no bigs that come close to his athleticsm and skill upside imo

I'd bet any money we are not taking Maker in the lotto.

Cheers.

People getting athletic happy with him on this board is real sad.

He has zero offensive game, way too raw. Should be a 2nd round pick.

Maker is going to be a bust! Just watch some full games of his. He's AWFUL!
