That is because vegas thinks the public is stupid and is willing to take their money because they think -4.5 is the appropriate line.

It's not a real confidence booster. In Game 7 vs Indiana, we were -6.5 favorites, which was pretty surprising to many considering we had gotten bitchslapped so badly in Game 6 and had so much trouble with Indiana. The fact that the line here is the same as the other games means it's a pick 'em again.

He's been brutal this series with the corner three. In game 5 when we could have iced it with an insurmountable 24 point lead had he hit a wide open look, he clanks and they go on a fast break for three themselves to bring it to 18.

You need to hit open looks. Every opponent does it to us but we always miss those big back breakers. Carroll hits them.

If it was pick 'em it would be pick em. Betting $100 on Heat will return a profit of $175. They are significant underdogs.

You can't compare to Pacers because Raptors were 6-7 point favorites every home game. That line was narrower for games in Indiana. This is because Vegas thought Raptors were significantly better team. What the lines indicate in the Heat series is that Vegas doesn't think Raptors are that much better than Heat, and the reason for Raptors being favorites is primarily due to being home.
