Jose "The Man" Altuve is on fire tonight!

Welp...hope Fister gets let off the hook here because he's been pretty solid lately, somehow.

As I say that: HOLY TITS, CORREA!!

He's pretty good...

Looks like White seems to be getting his bat going again, good to see.

Tired of seeing Cano destroy us though.

Intentionally walking Altuve to get to Springer, eh?

Interesting!

And there is the inevitable strikeout(on a bad call, IMO).

Poop.

That was a nice series win against Cleveland, and they're 7-4 in their last 11 games. Still not remotely where we'd like them to be, but showing signs of life at least.

This will be a tough stretch starting tonight with 4 games @ Boston, 3 @ CWS, and then coming home for a 3 game series against the Rangers.

Let's go Lastros!

Here we go again...sigh.

Good to see McCullers back from the DL though, I guess.

All of a sudden the Astros are hitting with RISP?

What the hell is going on here?!

(keep it going, please)

I haven't been able to catch most games so far this season, but the ones that I do seem to end in heartbreak.

What's happened to the pitching staff? They were looking like one of the best in the league last season!

The lineup outside of the top four guys has been pretty terrible as well. Gomez/Valbuena/White/Tucker are all basically useless(even though Valbuena did hit a 3-run HR today, miraculously).

What a miserable time to be a Houston sports fan.

Damn, nice break there to get Altuve home on the bad throw to first. That was all set up by Altuve stealing 2nd and 3rd, he's been awesome this year.

Sigh.

Inning should have been over but Gomez/Springer can't get to a routine fly ball.

Totally ridiculous and frustrating.

Tucker sent back down where he belongs, Tony Kemp called up.

We now have two of the smallest guys in MLB playing for us!

The Astros announced Monday they were calling up the 5-foot-6 Kemp to replace outfielder Preston Tucker, who was optioned to Fresno on Sunday. Kemp, the club's No. 14 prospect according to MLBPipeline.com, was hitting .298/.410/.405 in 34 games at Fresno. He also had stolen four bases, four triples and drew 21 walks while striking out 22 times. He will join the team Tuesday in Chicago.

Kemp has split time between the outfield and second base in Fresno, but he will play primarily the outfield with the Astros. A left-handed bat, Kemp sprays the balls to all fields.

More good news: Gomez to the 15-day DL, Gattis recalled from AA and Colin Moran called up from AAA.

"[Gomez] needs to recuperate, and I don't expect it to be lengthy -- a few days off and back to resuming some baseball activity," Luhnow said. "It would be a nice outcome if he were able to come to the team in 15 days, rejuvenated, refreshed and ready to contribute."

Yes, seeing Gomez contribute would indeed be nice.

In the meantime, hope the young guys(Kemp and Moran) can inject a little life into this team and help them win some games, though if the pitching doesn't get it together that might not be very likely.

Miracles can happen!

What sucks is they lost two in Boston that could/should have been wins. They would be 5-1 over their last six games had they been able to close those out.

Still, at least they are playing a bit better and get to come away with a series win against Chicago, and hopefully a sweep.

The upcoming series against Texas is going to be fun.
