The comp to Majerle and Ainge make sense the guy is an old school serbian, a bastard that you hate if he is not in your team.
I doubt he comes over tho, it just makes 0 sense financially, he can wait a year, skip the rookie scale and get to league when the cap peaks the highest.
Same with Saric, altho he has a worse situation with his team and that might make him jump without thinking about the money, his dad has at least shared those thoughts.
I doubt Bogdan does, he plays for a top2-3 team in Europe and has a major role there, if he skips the rookie scale he can make right off the bat about 6m$ per year in 2017, I am sure the Suns will offer him about that much considering the cap rising.

What are we expecting from him, he'll be 24 next season.

Sharp shooter off the bench?

And Fenerbahce goes to the Euroleague final. Bogdan was huge in the OT with 9 points.

Bogdan has ice in his veins. Time for him to will his team to an upset over CSKA Moscow, achieve the pinnacle of European basketball team achievements, and move up to the next level of competition.

I'll be watching the game tonight. I really hope he comes over, and picks things up fast, develops a bit more.
He could truly be our Ginobily, and we could have the wing positions covered for a good while with Booker, TJ and Bogdan.

It will be interesting how he fares defensively against the most talented backcourt in Europe (Teodosic & DeColo)

Yes, you are absolutely right. Although kid has allready showed he has what it takes - in europe anyways.

Should be a very good game to watch for anyone who loves basketball. Two very talented, team oriented, skilled group of guys. Very nice leadup to the game 7 of Tor/Mia.

Yes, I am looking forward to both games. Definitely recommend checking out Euroleague Final if you get the chance. Both teams has some good talent, you might be surprised, the level is competition is legit.

And here we are, catching the worst game of Fener pretty much all season... :)
Not much to learn from this game, I guess they got scared of whatever.

Great game, Bogdan didn't look too good though. Can't really win Jan Veseley going 1/10 from free throw, that's just terrible.

A dramatic OT win for CSKA in the end :)

What I learned :

1) Bogdan's ceiling is a good role player, which I have already said in other posts

2) Vesely is terrible free throw shooter. I hope the rumors are false and he never wears Suns uni. Number 6 pick ?!?!?! There is a good chance Suns draft Bender 6th, let's hope he is a completely different kind of prospect.

I did start to watch the Tor/Mia, but I switched a bit back and forth, so I got to see most of the 4th and OT.

Bogdan shouldn't be judged on this game alone, he has made so many clutch plays for Fener and Serbia, and had so many big games...

Suns General Manager Ryan McDonough and coach Earl Watson plan to travel to Europe to meet with Bogdanovic once his team’s season is done in the Turkish League, where it is 24-6 with Bogdanovic’s team-high 14.3 points per game and 46.3 percent 3-point shooting.

He is in a good team with at least 6 more players that can score, but also make his life on the court easier.
He is not selfish by any means, that being probably his biggest lack. He is not mentally prepared to be a killer. Yet, at least...
He is not tall enough for a SG in the NBA. Neither can he play the SF position, much less the PG position. He lacks creativity for that.
He is a great shooter and also can penetrate, dish off the penetration, move the defense and find weacknesses.
But I believe he just can play SG, and he is good at it.

Bold - he is not allowed to shoot at will. Fener plays team ball, with zero tolerance for selfishness and self promotion. He's just doing what is expected from him. Simple as that. In his last year in Partizan, he was shooting 13 field goals per game in EL, and his usage was around 24% in contrast with less than 16% this season per DX. Not to mention that show in Serbian league final when he averaged 30 points per game and took the trophy almost by himself.

Red - only this season he beat the buzzer 3 times, one of that for the Turkish Cup trophy, and did the same for the Serbian national team and Partizan. If someone has the mentality to be a killer, he has. Soome could say that he already is, in Euro borders. NBA is, as we all know, a different story.

Blue - he is 6'6'' with 6'11'.5'' wingspan and that's almost prototypical for a modern SG.

Green - he played some SF for Serbian national team and Fenerbahce (especially last year) and absolutely can serve that position decently in Europe, but NBA will be a serious challenge. As far as PG qualities are concerned, he played PG for Partizan more than a half of the season when Westermann got injured, and did it pretty well, carving his ball handling down the road. He was one of the best (if not the best) SG's in 2015 Eurobasket when it comes to assist per game category with more than 3. This year he runs the p'n'r for Fener, throws oop's to Udoh and Vesely regularly, sits at 21. (first 'pure' shooting guard) spot out of 132 guards in that category in the whole EL...

I made a mistake by writing that he is not tall enough to be a SG.
Yes indeed he is.
What I meant is that he cannot play SF in the NBA.
He just plays one position, which is normal for a player.

I do not think he has that killer instinct that many players have, which is probably good. At least, those are the players I like. He has no problem in sharing the ball.
The problem with him is that he is a SG and we have Booker, Goodwin and a PG that plays like he is a SG.
It is a good problem to solve, but either Goodwin or Bogdanovic would play scarce minutes.

I love what Bogdan brings to the table. Are we planning to sign him in the offseason?
