The Raptors match up well with the Cavs, and won 2 of 3 matchups in the regular season.

Carroll is the perfect defender to put on James, and Powell is the perfect defender to put on Irving. Lowry will also force Irving to work on both ends of the floor. I'm not sure if the Raptors have an answer for Kevin Love. If Valanciunas is healthy, I'm not sure the Cavs have an answer for him either, and the Raptors will be a formidable opponent. Toronto had a harder road to the conference finals than did Cleveland, although it took them 6 extra games to get there.

I expect a great series, and for the Raptors to surprise Cleveland with their toughness and defense.

That being said, the Cavs are just too talented and experienced, and ultimately I think the Raptors run ends at LeBron.

Here is my prediction:

Raps win game 1 (long layoff for the Cavs, a little rusty, Raps are getting better and better with each game)
Cavs win game 2 (Cleveland gets focused - blow out win for the Cavs at home)
Cavs win game 3 (Too much pressure for the Raps in front of the home crowd, LeBron takes control of the series)
Raps win game 4 (Gritty, low scoring affair, Raps squeeze out a nail bitter)
Cavs win game 5 (Cavs win a close one at home, but are in control for most of the game)
Cavs win game 6 (Cavs turn it up a notch, Raps run out of steam)

Raps give them a healthy scare, but Cavs ultimately find their next gear, and use the Raptors as a perfect warm-up for the finals after sweeping the first 2 rounds with ease. Raps will actually be a great tune-up opponent for the Cavs, as they play in your face defense and fight for every lose ball.

Here's hoping to no major injuries for either team during this series, just good basketball - I'd love to see the Cavs at full mast entering the finals.

Cavs in 6.
Go Raps!!

Cavs in 4, 5 if everything goes wrong regardless of JV. Not that eastern conference is that weak but Cavs are that good. Gonna be a great finals no doubt.
If you're just tuning in, tune out -JVG

Bandwagon? Check the Raptors board during the regular season

Hell, check our board during the lottery seasons. Our preseason game threads were bigger than other team's playoff game threads.

Always uptight raptors fans even when they win. I was joking

With comments like that, you can see why people never understood your "joke".

And yes, there are A LOT of bandwagon fans here in the 6. I see babies rocking fresh jerseys and clean hats with tags and s**t. Fat moms with the latest black and gold jerseys with the number 6 on it, but they don't know the first name of the "Joseph" fellow. Dudes with fresh Raptor tats complete with Larry O'Brien trophy and all dat s**t. Some of them have to be on this board...

Lowry provoking LeBron is pretty funny though. It's not like you need to encourage him to beat you.

He did that on purpose. I don't know why but it might because he wants LeBron to go super saiyan on us. I mean LeBron would have still have balled to avenge wade but comments like that is bulletin board material. I mean as a raps fan I don't care because he's the best player in franchise history so he can do whatever he wants.

Haha I saw that but I hope LeBron didn't. LeBron said he turned off the game before it ended (he was obviously salty Raps were up by almost 30), so I doubt he seen it.

I don't want no beast mode LeBron.

Me? Are you kidding?

I assuredly don't care who wins. Without question I'm cheering for whoever comes out of the West. I highly doubt the Raptors get anything out of this series though.

Sorry, I am probably not understanding. Done what? I just put my prediction in.

I did wish your team luck before, but... well, it looks like you're on a conveyor belt and there are these rotary saws ahead. It would have been just as bad for Miami though. In a way, it's better it ended like it did. (That doesn't mean I'm not disappointed though.)

Of the teams that are left I want OKC to win the most, followed by Golden State, the Raptors, and Cleveland in that order. If I were guessing who goes to the Finals I would say Golden State and Cleveland with Golden State eventually winning.

this should be a good series. a 56 win team is no pushover. people including myself have counted them out the first two rounds. all i hope for as a neutral fan is a competitive series with no dirty play.

No offense to Teague Korver or Reggie jackson KCP. There are so many good back courts in the league and they lucked out and versed 2 of the worst. Let's see them against an All star back court. Good little warm up for the Warriors

The Raps were one Pacers meltdown away from losing in the first round.
