PD: i loved how he described JV "Jaque Vaughn is like having a corpse"

I think Mario getting point-forward experience is pretty essential for his development. But not over Payton. He's prime for coming off the bench and being a 6th man scorer/playmaker as part of a good 2-man game.

i agree, getting experience is essential for his development, but playing at the PG sopt? Just cant see it brah

I don't think they articulated it very well. You wouldn't want him playing point and defending point. But you could have him initiate and run plays on offense whilst Dipo defends the PGs on the other end.

I see Elf as our PG, but I'd like to think all of Dipo, Fournier, Hezonja and Gordon could run plays, too. That's what a well balanced offense would allow, as on any of the good teams.

I kinda like the idea of multiple players being able to handle the ball and initiate offense. Plenty of other successful teams do it. I understand the Elfrid fans out there won't love the idea because the thought of Elfrid Payton playing off the ball is a scary one.

Every guy who works in the Magic organization can pronounce Vucevic. Trust me on this one. The fact that this guy can't definitely raises questions. Not saying he's not a fan, but if you are, you hear Nik's name pronounced correctly a thousand times. You'd think that would prompt you to pronounce it correctly as well. #justsaying

LOL you sound like a bitch... but i get your point and even an and1... from bitch to bitch

Guess you know some pretty sophisticated, dope ass bitches.

Uhhhh, no it's not.

Adam's podcast still has a ways to go before it touches Simmons realm - even if Simmons doesn't know what he's talking about.

I hope Adam is able to turn that thing into a Lowe Post quality podcast. That'd be great for Magic fans. But it needs a lot of work to get there.

Ya,
I mean Bill Simmons is a legend so... most amateur podcasts have a lot of catching up to do if they are aiming for Simmons status.

Yeah, I could have went in more on that bad episode of The Ringer, but I just kept it at 'Vucevic'.

Open to any and all suggestions/feedback. It'll be on iTunes by tomorrow (already approved).

Kidding, but nice work!

Hey mate, here are a few notes from me:

- I'm a fan of more produced podcasts, like anything from NPR or Gimlet. I don't particularly like podcasts where it's just two people talking, but plenty of them work and are popular, so I'm not going to say it's not a good approach.

- Break it down into subjects, have a lead in question for each topic, have prepped answers that you can expand on on the fly, talk in concise sentences with air between them to give you clean edit points. Plan segues in advance and factor them into points or lead questions.

- Ruthlessly cut it down. Editing is a large part of the job. Keep it tight and efficient. Pick just a few of your strongest side comments or stories that take a tangent. If it's not basketball related, then make sure it's really interesting or entertaining.

- You've got a great library of content from post game interviews, maybe dip into that pool for some interesting quotes to shed new light on topics? It will make it feel a bit more diversified and researched, plus give you editing material. Plus, it adds a level of exclusivity that you've got which others won't have.

- Maybe look into a sound mixer and sound designer who can polish up the intro. Your voice got lost at the start as you faded down the intro music and faded up your vocals.

- If you can get special guests on, it'd be great. People with skill sets and backgrounds who can give unique insight on topics.

This is just my opinion when it comes to these things. There's many ways to skin a cat and tell the story. Keep up the great work.

Agree with Ben here. Content is good. People are good. The production will and organization will take it to the next level.

Thanks for the feedback. I really do appreciate it.

I do find NPR boring though, and I've tried multiple times to listen in.

My issue with something being too edited is then it loses that natural element.

Episode 2 is live. My mic just now came in today, it'll finally be in place for the third episode.

Do you have any sort of rapport with any of the players/anybody in the organization? Would be awesome if you could get one of those on. I listened to your last episode, it was really informative/good to listen to.

See, i enjoy the natural element of the cast. When your new mic comes in, that'll help with sound quality, but I don't mind it.

I'm a big fan of Redick's podcasts and that style; just sitting, talking about the expected content and having fun with it.

I wish I had that kind of pull. Need to get the podcast established with plenty of episodes, but then I need the large audience to back it up before I could even contemplate making a request. We'll see, I'm always the optimistic type. 8-)

Redick, Lowe, Woj, Katie Nolan, all have fantastic podcasts for various reasons.

Very cool that you are doing this. Going to give it a listen/download.
