Would love Ryno for no more than 9 million. He'd fit nicely on offense but would be a liability on defense. Wouldn't want him starting.

I'm really interested to see what role player level free agents are going to go for this summer. To me Ryan Anderson is an average starter quality guy (like a Marcus Morris) and is worth in the 10-15M range.

Let's assume Rhino is a legit option...

We know he could play with Dre as the stretch 4 offensively - is really a poor defender or has he played under coaches with poor defensive structures?

When he was in Orlando the D was easy - funnel everything into Dwight. He obviously was decent at that! And SVG still has love for him - and the love appears to be mutual.

Could Rhino play C defensively in a small ball line up though?

If SVG and the scouting crew believe he can then you go get him.

He's not the Sheed acquisition but he's certainly a veteran that could make us a tougher match up IF he can play decent D as a small ball C

Ryno rarely played C in Orlando and that was mainly after Gortat left. He is very solid at getting boards, but blocks with man on man, he is poor. But, you haven't watched how often Ryno will completely lose his guy on defense. I have witnessed him look around for his guy and the dude is on the other side of the court hitting an open shot. Now, he may play well with Drummond, but I seriously doubt he could play Center with Mook or Harris at PF and we call it a defensive lineup in any part of my imagination.

Offer 10 mil if you want him, he is injury prone so that hurts his value.

Yeah, clear answer here is Harris.

Harris is younger, has upside, and doesn't need a new contract. We could have LOST Anderson this offseason.

Anderson at 9-10 million? Not a cat's chance in hell. Not in what most likely is the greatest free agent sellers market we've ever seen. At 15 mil cap space we are probably priced out of him.

Harris by a mile.

We don't need more guys shoe-horned into being one-dimensional shooters that's literally just not going to cut or flow into the offense while he watches RJ dribble dribble dribble and Dre posting up somewhere. That's not winnings basketball, that's glorified ISOs. We might as well get Ilyasova back on the cheap to come off the bench, which wouldn't be the worst thing.

I don't think Stan wants to get into a bidding war with 15-20+ teams over Ryno. I think our bigger needs are having a backup PG that's literally not a corpse.

If i had to choose i would go for Harris every time. But then again thats not why i did dig up this thread. If Anderson is really interested i would take him no questions asked because i think getting a better free agent who is a good but not great fit this summer will be very, very hard.
