Good defences take away stars favorite spots. It's why the idea of replacing high volume scorers with role playing shooters is such a fallacy propagated by fans who probably never played basketball. Sounds good in theory to say replace the high volume guys with shooting specialists and just share the ball and let Korver types hoist 20 X 3s per game but in a playoff game against a good defensive team they'll take away what those guys like to do best. It's why nobody has ever won exclusively with 10-12 role players all scoring 10-14 points each. Sounds good in theory. Much harder to pull off.

durant and west are only .43 and .41 from field these playoffs...not amazing stuff either...playing like this is tough, your main guys really gotta show up and make tough shots
