This is further Raps will ever go. They're tapped their potential. They should put this season in the vault and replay the entire summer. It was a successful one. Now they can get ready to pack it up and we'll see a repeat of the 2015 Finals.

They have performed far below their potential these playoffs.

Raptors have played their worst stretch of basketball in the playoffs.

i look at it this way.
If we keep it tight till the end and then give it to lowry and see what happens. I have been very impressed how he was closing miami. If he has that mojo. Wow.

Expecting a sweep but I'm going to enjoy this ride. If we can steal one game that will be huge.

Hopefully JR doesn't untie Derozan's magical shoelace. :O

Il get through the next 4 months just fine. Your offseason isn't too far away either (4 more games to be exact) let's not be delusional.

If anything I'd be scared str8 at Raps offseason. Derozan Max incoming lol. It's no secret 90% of the Raps board doesn't even want him back. Yet somehow they are the "second best backcourt" FOH with that trollish nonsense.

Your own fan base hates him. That tells me all I need to know.

Add in other teams fan bases like the lakers are praying their FO isn't dumb enough to sign this guy. I've gone on record to say if Derozan is in a heat uniform I would stop following the heat instantly lol.

Enjoy what's left of your season. Winter is coming. This will be as good as it gets for the raps imo. Took them awhile and they needed key injuries and for the heat to be down more than half their salary cap to get there but they did it!

Who has said our whole fan base hates him? You are making the assumption that a group of the people on realgm is our whole fanbase. Kinda foolish if you ask me.

Winter is coming? dumbass summer is coming and we are still in the playoffs. You mention the Injuries to Miami but forget that all year toronto battled injuries as well and still ended up second in the east and beat you in the playoffs.. If you can't make a point without ignoring the other side of the discussion you might as well stop because no one is going to listen to you ramble because you come across as a homer.

You didn't actually think I meant winter was coming as in actually winter lol it's just a saying from GOT's. End is near bud.

Injuries to over paid role players like Carrol and JV during the regular season cannot compare to losing franchise superstars like Bosh and Hassan. And losing an all time great like Lebron as well. I'd say we did just fine everything considered.

Like I said, enjoy the last 4 to 5 games left in the season. Enjoy the taste of the ECF. Enjoy hating on Derozan on the reasonable contract that he is on, cuz soon that's gonna be super max 30% SG.

Take it all in. Never know how long it could take to make it back to this stage.

Mia sucked with bosh in the lineup.

Hassan whiteside was getting destroyed on both ends by valanciuans. He was eating his food. So it's funny you call him a role player but whiteside a franchise cornerstone player.

You make fun of derozan but whitside about to get maxed. Isn't Miamis defence better when Hassan is riding the pine?

Good luck to Mia when wade leaves this summer. Enjoy a trio of bosh/dragic/white side

It sort of feels like destiny. The stars are aligning and while Love, Kyrie, Bron are busy doing that, the raptors will attack.

Raps have proven that they are not good when favored but let's see what they do when they are underdogs and there is no pressure. Cavs will win either way but perhaps Toronto wins more games than people think.

?? The Cavs have taken at least one road game in literally every single playoff series since Bron returned.

The Raps have lost at home in literally every series since this group started making the playoffs.

The Cavs will undoubtedly get a game in Toronto. The pressure is on Toronto to take one in Cleveland.

Toronto is not getting nearly enough credit here. Mentioned earlier in the thread if JV can come back Cleveland might be in trouble. Lowry will get to the basket at will, and Cleveland doesn't adjust personal so JV's length will neutralize Thompson. Folks thinking Cleveland just rolls through this team are mistaken.

Not buying it. They beat a Miami heat w/o Bosh and hen whiteside the last game. The east just looks better this year because all the mid tier teams are a lot closer to each other. There is still nobody close to taking out Cleveland.

But then again, the Cavs seem to lay an egg every so often and fool you.

So if Bosh medically retires this summer...the Heat will forever continue to use the excuse that they didn't have Bosh? The Heat are 3rd seed because they didn't have Bosh. They were 7th seed with him. By that measure...the Heat are a better team without him. Better get used to the idea of life without Bosh on the Heat. It might be more of a reality than you realize.

Yes, Whiteside was injured...but so was Valanciunas. And Valanciunas was having a greater impact on the series...dominating Whiteside and any other Heat big man. So by that measure...Toronto was at a greater disadvantage.

No more excuses. Toronto beat Miami...period. Game 7 wasn't even a contest.

Well, Toronto beat Miami and they didn't have Bosh either. Neither did they have Carter, McGrady or Alonzo Mourning.

This is like the Bosh/Bargnani/Calderon trio but with more rebounding and less scoring.

It's funny because this picture is supposed to be a joke against the Cavs and especially LeBron, yet the Raptors won 56 games while the Thunder won 55. The Thunder are definitely better, but it's still comical how these overexaggerated narratives develop.

In fact, the Cavs have faced an opponent with a higher record in every single round compared to the Warriors, but let's keep making fun of how weak the East is.

osucavs33 wrote:I picked Cavs in 5, but if Lowry goes into Cav killer mode I can see Cavs in 6. I do not quite understand people who are picking Raptors in 7 though. I understand being excited for your team and thinking they have a shot as they very well could have a shot at the upset. If they do though it will have to be in 6 or less. There is almost no chance that a LeBron led team would lose a game 7 in their building with a chance to go to the finals. Any elite team it is hard to pick against them in that setting, and usually the outcome is the home team winning. I also feel the same way about the Warriors/Thunder. The Thunder clearly can win, but it would have to be in 6 or less. I don't see them winning a game 7 out there at Oracle.

Don't take it personally. I chose Raptors in 4, but I honestly feel Cavs in 5.

I feel like this would be the least toxic GB playoff thread compared to the last 2 and the current okc-gsw.
