Joerger to SAC, Walton to LAL. These teams are starting to trend up. Didn't get any extra picks last year. The luck has to start changing. If any team needs the frozen envelope...

This draft is loaded with PGs. I think this is the draft where the 76ers find their future PG. This is like 09 draft where that draft had best PG prospects

While yes these teams have the potential to trend up, I'm not freaking out yet.

Walton was given the unanimous MVP and supporting cast + maturity to go out and win games with...that is not the situation he's going into in LAL, they are definitely a lotto team next year, which IMO any lotto pick is >>>MCW.

SAC is a bit more worrisome, but again, I'm not seeing a huge turn around in season one. No big FA's are going there, and they are a mess. I could see them as a lotto team again, so maybe we get lucky with a swap... by the time we get the uprotected pick... yeah it could not hold much value. But, one: we didn't give up almost anything for it, and two: It is still the Kings, so anything could happen :D

Both situations are still fluxy, but they look better now than they did 2 weeks ago, that's all. Just pre-lottery nerves on my part, anyway. The better the pick, the lower the chance Bryan screws it up. And I really don't want to deal with the aftermath of Bryan screwing it up.

Well, it's still a question since it's still top 3 protected. And if they get Simmons, they better hope they outscore teams because Russell, Simmons, and Randle aren't providing any D.

Pretty psyched the LAL pick didn't convey.

If Colangelo doesn't screw this up and trade the pick, this is a premium asset in a loaded 2017 draft.

Now just need to trade Okafor to BOS for a package around the 2017 BKN / BOS swap right pick....

Assuming we draft Ben, Ingram is going to be 190 pounds and they'll lose 55 games next year.

Yeah, very happy we can use the pick in 2017 probably.
Let's hope the draft is indeed as good as already advertised.

Lakers still aren't going to make the play-offs (even with Simmons - Whiteside and DeRozan).

A person's mood is huge. When you have to work with someone who's riding an emotional roller coaster, it makes communication very difficult. I have a co-worker who's the same way, and everything is more complicated than it should be. DMC is a world class talent, with a bad attitude. I could see him going to the Lakers for a pick/drafted player and package. The LAL front office has the ego to think they can handle his attitude I think.

If I were the Lakers I would be happy to trade Ingram for Cousins, but they would have to include more than that I think.

Not sure what else they could include other than Randle or Russell, and that would be a tough choice.

Knowing LA, they might trade it all for a star player. Its hard to say. LA is more a player destination in free agency, than a team that drafts its talent. They may believe they can attract more FAs if they already have a star in the fold. I don't know how reputable DMC is around the league with players though, so he may not be the appropriate piece to sell to FAs.

I'm not sold on either of Randle or Russell, though I hope they surpass my expectations. So, having said that, I think LA could afford to move some players, especially one who has sullied his name (Russell) in order to add a top talent. Its similar to Miami in the Shaq trade. We traded away some nice pieces (Odom, Grant, Butler) to get O'Neal in the latter part of his career. The value of the players involved in a proposed Kings/Lakers swap is variable in comparison, but the idea remains the same. I believe the Lakers might go for broke to get a surefire talent.

Cousins going to LA would suck. Go Celtics in that scenario.

I love Lonzo Ball, but he makes no sense with Simmons. Markelle Fultz, Malik Monk, Dennis Smith Jr., Frank Ntilikina or Frank Jackson probably make the most sense, in that order.

I would love to grab one of them and Terrence Ferguson with our pick and the Lakers pick.

I was thinking that too, but if LAL only acquires Cousins this off-season, then that might be good for the pick they owe us. They'd be bad enough, but not top 3 bad. On the flip side, it would make SAC worse, which would be great for swap purposes. Win-win :D

If we win a top-three pick in 2017 via the Kings swap and have another top-10 '17 pick from the Lakers, the rest of the league is going to be so mad at us.

I can't wait to lick their tears.

As far as I'm concerned, we made a deal with the devil to win the lottery this year, and the Lakers pick was the sacrifice.

I'm completely prepared for that pick to be whatever it ends up being, even if it is number 15 next year.

It was worth it.

That being said, Cousins going to the Lakers doesn't scare me. I don't think that they will make the playoffs next year no matter what they do.
