What Jones does on twitter kinda reminds me of how messiah would act on this board. He wanted to draw attention to himself, but on his own terms.

I actually find it very disturbing. I would be greatly concerned if he was a loved one. It's one thing to embrace the country you now call home (as he should), but his denials over being Canadian are not normal. His way-over-the-top insistence that he is American and passive-aggressive shots at Canada is even more alarming.

There is something seriously not right with him, as if he has some PTSD over something that happened to him in Canada, that he has essentially blocked out the undeniable fact that he is Canadian. I worry that it's not intentional denial but rather he has constructed in his mind, an elaborate history that blocks out any association he has with his time in Canada.

Either way, the US can have him.

It's not like his negative shots at Canada were sparked by any of us here. It was completely unprovoked and has gone on for some time.

I started following Mark Jones on twitter because I like supporting hometown guys who have success abroad. But after a year of reading his disparaging tweets about Canada and Toronto, I unfollowed him.

John Roberts of FOX News (aka JD Roberts of Much Music) is another one who has wrapped himself in the stars and stripes and can be condescending towards Canada - but even he is nothing like Mark Jones.
