This. I like Biz but he's just a good backup C, at best a fringe starter. He's an offensive liability.

yet his defense and rebounding win games. i'll take the minor offensive hit to get that back

Agreed and it's hard to not like a guy who all hustle and heart like him. But, i don't to think he's good enough as our starting center if we want to contend.

Maybe not, but I like him better than Zeller, although I actually like them both and wish they were both still on our team. I actually really like the idea of a Biz/Zeller/Hawes center rotation (Cody and Biz splitting minutes, doesn't matter who would start). Pretty much perfect balance and super cheap.

I believe the Christian Testimonial where he talks about all the things that happened with him behind the scenes with the Hornets this season may be scheduled for the 11th. That should give a better clue into his mindset entering free agency.

So the lottery is tonight. I'm really hoping that the Lakers and other WC teams get some lottery luck.

Magic with Vogel strikes me as potentially dangerous.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

looks like its down to Silas and D'Antoni for the Rockets job.

Charlotte coach Steve Clifford is highly respected within the Rockets organization and his recommendation of Silas has carried significant weight too, sources said.

Dammit Cliff, that's not how you hold on to your coaching assets!

It might not be this coming season, but if I had to bet, I'd wager that Silas gets a HC job before Ewing.

I think Silas was featured in that ESPN piece earlier this year, on that list of assistant coaches that will likely be HC candidates going forward, so it's not like he's not eyed around the league already.

And it's probably not like Cliff volunteered Silas to the Rockets to try to get him off the Hornets staff. The Rockets were probably already in the process of talking to Silas, and subsequently reached out to Cliff for his thoughts.

Good organizations/companies lose people to promotion all the time. It's a good thing. It will make the opening more appealing to better candidates because they know advancement is possible.

Yup. Ewing already had his chances. I think his best shot at becoming a head coach was the opening in Orlando but he didn't get it so it's likely that he'll be stuck with us for the long haul.

Houston tried to reunite with JVG but it didn't pan out so they might be looking to hire someone from the Van Gundy coaching tree.

Losing Silas also means one less reason for JLin to return....

I think the Magic need to make a decision between Payton and Oladipo and move on from the other. You can't have a core of Payton, Oladipo and Gordon and expect to have a truly efficient offense - especially when they have a center looking for touches on the low block. That is clogged toilet at its finest.

Lamb for Payton.
