It's pretty clear Memphis is about to enter a rebuild and that's why they are looking to give an assistant a shot. If he turns out great they're all the better for it, if not it was all part of the plan to be bad for a few years like when we hired Vaughn. No surprise that Vogel is more interested in us, he's an experienced coach and can see the writing on the wall in Memphis. Experienced coaches don't take new jobs to tank.

Can someone give me an idea of how Dwight Howard would even work? Are you really thinking of playing him and Vuc together? Are yall willing to dump Vuc for Dwight? Are yall benching Vuc? I just don't understand how Dwight here would even work even if I wanted him.Which I don't. In 2016 I'd rather have Vuc

Use Nicholson as a stretch 4/low-post scoring option whose poor D will be masked by Dwight's interior presence.

Have a twin towers lineup for larger, grind-it-out teams, maybe try the twin towers for like 10 min/game given Vuc's decent mobility in the open floor and long range I think the spacing could work on offense. This would have to be when opposing team's stretch 4s are sitting.

Might not work well, but not COMPLETELY unfeasible.

I won't lie that doesn't sound all that bad. I still think we could find more productive way to spend our money. Im sure Dwight wants his last big pay day. Also not much reliable shooting in that starting line up to go around Howard.

IMO a Dwight reunion must include some discount and a shorter contract, neither of which is going to happen so either get ready for a maxed Dwight or no Dwight. I honestly don't know how to feel about a Dwight reunion.

For real though, if Dwight can play at least as well as he did two seasons ago (big if), and Vuc is okay getting 20 mins a game (doubtful) that's some pretty great versatility at the C position. You got your defensive and offensive Center and when ones injured you don't really have to worry about it. Foul trouble? No big deal. Again, this is my hypothetical mind speaking. I think the odds that we rock both Dwight and Vuc are pretty slim.
