Official NY Yankees Thread

We are experimenting with something but all Yankee talk do it here.

Time for the Yankees to do the one thing they've never done? Trade off all of their older players for whatever assets they can get and (semi) rebuild with a younger core?

They've looked better recently but, their starting pitching is wildly inconsistent. Listen to this stat... they are 2-12 when Severino or Pineda start and 15-10 when anyone else does. I wish Bird wasn't hurt because I would have no problem moving Tex but, we kinda need him with no real replacement there. I think you give it more of a chance to turn around because you just have to sneak in the playoffs with that bullpen and anything can happen but they can't afford to lose many more series or else they are in serious danger of falling way out of it.

100% down for this

Trade Chapman, Beltran, Teix (anything we can get, he's not getting the QO), Pineda, Headley (for free or attach him to someone), Gardner... Maybe even Miller

Call up Judge, Sanchez, Refsnyder, Gamel, Barbato, Lail, Montgomery

thats just false. It was a mets town in the 80's and then it became a yankees town with the dominance in the 90's and 2000's.

Its back to being a mets town. It just the way the city is for baseball. You have your die hards both ways but the city shifts with the more popular team.

This isn't a knicks/nets and giants/jets where the former will always be more important than the later.

I want a damn Mets thread if this is happening. Yankees are gonna rebuild for the next 2-3 years. We dont need a thread to discuss that. Mets are competing right now.

the Yankees need to do at least two, if not all, of the following:

1) Trade Miller & Chapman for top flight prospects who are preferably hitters, right handed preferably.
2) Get whatever you can for McCann too
3) Call up Aaron Judge & Gary Sanchez permanently
4) change pitching philosophy throughout minor leagues to get pitchers to start pitching 7+ innings rather than 6
5) trade 2 or more of the following: Slade Heathcott, Mason Williams, Gamel, Cave
6) Tell the Dodgers or Cubs to eat away Ellsbury's contract
7) Call up all prospects.

Mets are built for long term success. Yankees are old, overpriced, with few prospects impacting the big league club. I'm not Anti-Yankee, I just found it comical to sticky a thread about a team that is going nowhere.

And when we take your players because you won't pay them and then put Brice in the pinstripes....

You know it's going to happen. Enjoy a year of relevance. The yanks ain't never going anywhere.

Yeah, I'm talking sh*t. Oh yes I am and I hardly watch baseball...

Lmao. I can clearly see that baseball isn't your sport. Just know that rookie contracts last a lot longer than NBA's. By the time they reach the market they'll be 30, worn out from all those years competing, and the Yankees will once again overspend for past their prime talent. Mets will be relevant a lot longer than one year lol.

A couple of key players are underperforming but the team is only a couple of games out of first. Baseball is a marathon and they're deeper than most teams.

Good in theory but we both know management will never make that call. Would be great though too FINALLY have the farm system rebuilt again.
