Also, Sam Dekker is a great fit for D'Antoni. Smart passer who can makes the next touch pass or attack a closeout. Hopefully he can be a respectable shooter

Assistant Coach names I'm hearing are Lionel Hollins & Rex Kalamian (long-time OKC assistant).

I am wondering if Chris Finch will be retained.

Add Jeff Bzdelik to the mix. He's currently an assistant with the Grizzlies and known as a defensive specialist.

Better off taking a chance trying to find the next good young coach than to keep cycling through the failing old timers

that's why they are interviewing almost every assistant coach out there

Just make Shane Battier head coach.

Also, with D'Antoni we will never not be able to get the ball inbounds in big situations again. He is a God at ATO plays

How are we going to steal other team's assistants with an offer to be D'antoni's assistant and a star player who looks disinterested on defense?

There's really no one else left. I wonder if Memphis hires a coach before Houston.

Kurt Rambis (i) -> Jeff Hornacek
Frank Vogel -> Nate McMillan
Scott Skiles -> Frank Vogel
George Karl -> Dave Joerger
Randy Wittman -> Scott Brooks
Sam Mitchell (i) -> Tom Thibodeau
Tony Brown (i) -> Kenny Atkinson
Byron Scott ->Luke Walton
Dave Joerger -> ???
JB Bickerstaff (i) -> ???

i believe Grizzlies will pick Jeff Bzdelik as their head coach
i believe Rockets is still looking for lead assistant for defensive coordinator
but assistant coach like Jeff Bzdelik is not going to leave for another assistant job
best case is Lionel Hollins as lead assistant
but after so many years as head coach not sure he will go back to be assistant
time is running out for Rockets
top candidates are all gone and they are also looking for assistant
this is why i hate them when they said they will take the time
good candidate won't sit there forever
i'm actually surprise Blatt didn't get a job
Ettore Messina is not leaving Spurs for another assistant either
hope they failed to find an assistant and offer Messina the head coach job

anyway all signs are pointed to:
head coach: Mike D'Antoni
assistant: Rex Kalamian

Silas reportedly crushed interviews and it's now him with Hollins against D'Antoni and probably a different defensive assistant

Silas interview was last week (for head coach position)
if he actually did well the news should've come out last week (did we ever hear interview don't go well?)
if Les is really in control over Morey
he is going for D'Antoni
Les is always after big name

Return to Houston Rockets
