You do realize the majority of superstars in the league today were not consistent jump shooters as rookies? Its your motto but you'd be taking 2nd rounders over star players

Call me naive and a victim of homerism, but when SJ said "Detroit Vs. Everybody" on draft day I knew that was our guy. Even if Winslow is the more talented player, SJ has the right of mentality of player that we are looking for. The kid has heart, is proud to be a Piston, and that is incredibly meaningful to me. Like others said, Winslow seems to be a primadonna. He seems like the type that even if we did draft him, he'd leave the team for a bigger market when his rookie contract was up.
