The man is back.

Crossfit jesus is here to save us all.

It does raise a good question, is he face or heel though. I mean the pop for his return was huge and him giving it to Roman was a big pop also.

Knowing the WWE, they'll probably try to play him off as a heel, but since he'll be going against Roman Reigns he'll be the face by default.

They also did some heelish stuff, but the important thing was at the end Reigns it the finishing move after getting smacked around with a steel chair, so good guy status still intact.

Of course this is stupid. The overwhelming reaction of the crowd is that they want to boo Reigns. The issue is that since Reigns is the good guy, we won't get the payoff we so badly want of him losing. It's very frustrating.

Yep. The fact that he's still doing the pedigree tells me they still plan on doing Rollins-HHH at some point and I don't know what the likelihood of this is, but I don't dismiss the possibility that they do a double-turn at MITB with Reigns aligning himself with HHH.

Totally possible and I was curious myself if he would continue doing the pedigree. The only bad thing of the double turn is that it means we might have a heel Triple H in charge again (please no).

I think he's coming back at some point in that role. The hope is that its a short-term thing. I think they're building towards something for Summerslam and my guess is they'd do HHH-Shane for control but HHH-Rollins with Rollins as Shane's surrogate would be significantly better.

Best part of the PPV: Seth freakin' Rollins

Worst part: Everything about the women's match

Which is a shame considering the Women had the best match at WrestleMania

I'm glad Rollins is back but the return could have been done better. At least hit his music and have him come down face to face and take out Reigns. I'm tired of the coward Rollins who attacks from behind. Let him look strong as a legit threat.

This.

I said from the time Rollins got injured that I didn't want to see him or hear about him while he was gone, and then on the night that he would return they actually keep it a secret and have him come out on RAW to a hero's welcome and get the "Triple H pop" when his music hit.

Either way, I'm glad he's back and that was a pretty solid way to end both Extreme Rules and the feud between AJ and Roman (which was way better than most people expected). Rollins has an immediate claim to the title and that feud has so much already built in to it that it doesn't require a ton of extra nonsense. AJ is probably getting attacked and dumped by Anderson and Gallows tonight, and Balor probably debuts. Now would be a really good time to debut Balor because the focus is going to be on Rollins tonight, so a Balor debut will be unexpected.

Would a Balor debut be unexpected if you already expect it? :D

You know what I mean! lol! It would be the least expected time in terms of what the audience is expecting. They're all going to be jacked about Rollins being back and will lose focus on the possibility of Finn being there.

I don't think we'll see Balor in the next few weeks. The next PPV being MITB I think buys them a little time so they don't need to immediately move Styles into a singles feud since you figure he'll be part of MITB. At the PPV, or the next night, I could definitely see that happening.

You're probably right. By that time Balor will have already had his final match with Joe at the next Takeover event on June 8th, so that frees him from any duties he'll have in NXT storyline wise. MITB is on June 19th, so the timeline there lines up perfectly.

This is where I would expect a Balor debut. Maybe even have him win the MitB Briefcase with the help of the club.

Can we just go back and appreciate how great the IC 4-way was? That match was legitimately excellent. Everyone involved was top notch last night. The Miz is the perfect heel for this whole situation. Zayn and Owens will forever be dope aspects in any storyline and Cesaro is obviously a superstar. The IC title scene has been booked really well since Mania, and the matches have all been really good-to-amazing.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but the Miz has been pretty damn good the last few months.

Miz has always been a capable performer. He's great on the mic and adequate in the ring. He's not going to carry another guy to a four or five star match, but if you pair him with someone who is capable of wrestling that type of match he can keep up.

As far as the IC title match goes, that was easily the best main roster match of the year by a wide margin. The only thing I think that comes close is Owens/Zayn from Payback, which was also a fantastic match. If we count NXT, Nakamura/Zayn might have been better, but I feel like part of that match's appeal was the molten crowd and the debut of Nakamura. Not that it wasn't an excellent match, of course, but in a vacuum it's probably no better than Owens/Zayn from Payback.

I'm glad Seth Rollins is back. He's going to be the "true face" in this storyline with Reigns.
