Cleveland should trade Love for non-ALL Stars

Post#1 » by kraytinprime » Wed Feb 17, 2016 7:35 pm

Looks like Cleveland only wants a star in a Love trade. That is crazy.

Love is not a good fit for this team. What Cleveland needs is more wing help. Wings who can defend and shoot.

I'd trade Mozgov, Love, Varajao for wings.

Boston gets: Love
Cavs get: Avery, Crowder, Olynyk

Irving, Avery, Smith, Crowder, Lebron is a killer small ball lineup.

The name of the game is defensive wings who can hit 3's.
Tell Lebron to man up and play PF and even C against GSW small ball lineup.

IMO, the Boston trade would have to include the Brooklyn 1st to meet the star criteria for the Cavs. Plus Avery and Crowder which Celtic fans would have a fit/cow with since they are bargain hunting. Don't see the Cavs moving Love now.

“(L)eague sources say that the Cavs have made it clear to interested teams — starting, of course, with the Love-hungry Boston Celtics — that they’d covet a star in return if or when they do reach the point of letting Love go … and not a package of draft picks and role players like the Celtics are offering,” Stein and Windhorst wrote Monday.

Honestly, the deadline can't get here quick enough.

I'd flip Bradley to Milwaukee for MCW and a future asset and finally move Kyrie to SG where he belongs. Give him one job, shoot.

Plus, a MCW/Shumpert/Crowder/James/Thompson defense would be able to grind the game down.

I like those trades. That would be a crazy defensive line up that could match GSW death lineup.

I'd do Love for Crowder, Olynyk, Amir Johnson and a 1st.

Love's not the one I want traded. Let's finish the season out and re-evaluate this summer.

Yep, trade Love for that next summer,

Irving-Dellavedova
Shumpert-Smith
Crowder-Jefferson/Jones
James-Thompson
Olynyk-Frye-Kaun

Plus whoever you add, you save some bucks by cutting Amir too.

Wouldn't Lebron and Kyrie have to score 70 most nights with that lineup? It looks good defensively but the offense looks sparse.
Give me more guys who can knock down open shots. If you have two exceptional scorers who can penetrate and dish, you need shooters. I think they're on the right track. They just need to work on the rotations and build a package for Love to work inside more consistently when one of the other two is on the bench.
Kyrie most of the time when he shoots starts with the ball and then dribbles a while then shoots. -statistical analysis from a 'longtime' Cavs fan (June 2017)

Wow. I think they even nailed that last part today. Love was huge. Finally finding successful rotations.

The Warriors are suddenly not as invinceable. Dirty move signing Andy, probably just for the intel, but I'm not worried because Lue will make adjustments unlike his predecessor.

Don't look now, but here come the Cavs. Starting to look better and better every week.

well i got a question....there are no two on-ball players who take up more time than lebron and irving - maybe you should get rid of irving? no, not even westbrook/durant because durant doesn't take up ball time.

i know this, love doesn't get much ball time with lebron and irving on the floor at the same time.

did other thing is,,,anyone see the box on the detroit game? love 24pts, irving 31pts.....why does lebron have only 5asst.

i have a lot of issues with lebron's "role" on the cavs with two 25ppg all stars on his team, and draymond getting more triples doubles than lebron.

well i'd trade irving because you can't have two ball dominant players on one team. love is not a "good fit" because between irving and lebron, no player gets to see the ball at all. no all star is a good fit with those two. if ya can't use an all star correctly, then why bother.

Crazy to think people want to trade KLove so early. Let this team compete at full health before making any decisions.

Well, if last night showed how the Cavs play without Love, I think he might be on the move. I don't think the Cavs would come right out and say it, but IMO LeBron is going to play the 4 more than the 3 from now until he retires.
I would like to see Love traded to Phoenix for Brandon Knight and TJ Warren. I'm sure Cavs fans will say "Love is worth way more than that" but A. His contract is worth more than he is right now, so good luck getting so-called equal value back and B. LeBron and Kyrie don't need a 3rd star back, they need good guys that will let them be the primary scorers and be a "better fit" and round out the team

Thompson/Kaun
LeBron/Frye
Smith/Warren
Shumpert/Knight
Kyrie/Mo

Bledsoe
Booker/Goodwin
Tucker
Love/Leuer
Chandler/Len

That's a bad team, Kaun shouldn't see the court ever and Mo shouldn't be next year, this trade changes nothing.

So the team that beat the Warriors in game 3 of the NBA Finals, by 30 points, plus Knight and Warren, would be a "bad team"?

I'd like to see if there could be a deal to trading love maybe to Denver?

Love and A filler
For
Barton, Gallo, and the 15 pick

Maybe add Joffrey Lauvergne instead of the 15th pick, he'd actually play great next to either LeBron or Tristan Thompson.

Love for Chris Paul. Kyrie and Thompson to Sixers for Noel and picks and cap space. Sign Durant with cap space.

Cavs lose:Love, Irving, Thompson

Cavs get: Durant, Paul, Noel, top ten pick in stacked 2017 draft

Return to Cleveland Cavaliers
