Well I did a little bit of research yesterday, and so it looks like you basically qualify for the Champions league if you win. You know how you 'get in' if your a top 3 team...and that 4th team has to do a round of qualifiers? That's where you are if you win it.
If you lose, you are in an even earlier round of qualifiers. Prob 2 rounds of qualifiers below that. So our chances of making it into the real meat of the Champions league tourney is incredibly low. But technically we have a shot.
If Klopp can get his squad going next season, perhaps we will be that team no-one wants to face throughout the qualifiers, and actually get in. Liverpool need to get something going. Really need that league title, or Champions League title again. Get back on the map. We're falling off, slowly but surely. Would you even say we are a top 5 'destination' in EPL anymore? I'd almost wonder if we're a top 10. I'm very hopeful that Klopp can get us some hardware. Especially that elusive league title. There's just no buzz around our team these days. I remember when we were maybe not a TOP TOP destination.....but certainly one of the big ones. Now we're a stepping stone on the way to Chel$ea. It's embarrassing.
