Re: You guys should trade for one of Philly's bigs
It is always said in the draft to pick the best player available early, well if you trade for Okafor, right now today he would be the best big on our roster hands down. The behavioral problems are a slight worry but we're talking about a kid going from a winning situation in college to a completely losing situation in Philly, all while being personally attacked by jerks trying to get a rise out of an 18-19 year old, he didn't have many problems in the past I expect him to grow up and learn from his mistakes and he'll be fine as long as you put good veterans around him like Ty Chandler. I also think the kid is athletic and agile enough to play power forward at times look at his rookie highlight tape he runs the floor he dribbles like a small forward slash power forward he's athletic and he's an absolute Unstoppable Beast in the post. If you trade something like the 4th and Knight and can get him (if they would do that), then you can use Len Warren and whatever other pieces to try to get Butler from Chicago. Bledsoe Booker butler Okafor and whoever starting 5 could do some real damage. Butler might be too expensive to go get though. Still Okafor is a talent you aren't going to find often, Len isn't on his level.

Man I read that and thought you were saying Okafor OR Noel with your Okafor/Noel thing....and I thought "not sure that's enough to get one of them", and then I saw you meant both for both of them. Yeah I'm guessing they won't go for that one.

I think Okafor and Len could be on the floor together, Jah has the handles and shooting touch to play pf, and is a decent passer, has an iq, he is a future dominant big ala Big Al. Get to not watch Knight in a suns uni ever again (WIN!!!), Book assumes his Sg throne, Bogdan comes over, Warren hopefully comes along. Okafor is the best player available that we have a shot at by far.

While I don't disagree with you, that is extremely unlikely to happen. Or I should say I doubt that will be the plan. I don't know that I'd bet for sure that any team would be worse than us next season until I see what happens over the summer. I'm guessing Philly, Brooklyn, LA again.

It is not even close. He is entering the prime of his career at age 27. The Suns would probably have to overpay but ultimately, the team needs better players. You have to start somewhere.
He really would be a good get. What type of money is he going to demand?
Whatever his max is and Charlotte will give it to him and he will likely stay right where he is.

Wow we really are echoing each other
I watched a ton of him in portland and although he was a fan favorite there was really no love lost when he left. Just draft Valentine if youre that desperate for a swiss army knife and save the 100m dollars.
Honestly I am terrified with what I hear coming out of the front office. If they make good on any of the FA moves I've heard them talking about I'm gunna puke.
C'mon, they will try to get those big names, and end up with guys no one else was interested in at the time (eg, Isaiah Thomas, Mirza Teletovic, Jon Leuer, Sonny Weems).
Can you think of ANY reason right now a player would want to come here? I mean in the past we might have an advantage because we were either competitive, one of the few teams with cap space, had a great reputation, people knew Colangelo took great care of the players.
Which of those exist now?
Our ONLY way to get good now is to build through the draft.

Agree. Although he's been inconsistent, Len is a good enough shooter to not clog up the lane with Okafor. If we can get Okafor + #24 & #26 for Bledsoe + #13, I would do it in a heartbeat.
Then package #24, #26, #28, + Goodwin and trade it to a team looking for depth, e.g. the Grizzlies (#17). Then draft Wade Balwin 4.
I don't like to sell low on players, so I'd rater explore something for Knight at the trade deadline this winter.
Murray (#4) / Baldwin 4 (#17)
Booker / Knight / Jenkins
Warren / Tucker
Okafor / Zhou Qi (#34)
Len / Chandler
Nice balance of shooting, post play and defense.
Trade deadline or next offseason we move Knight and Tucker and bring in Bogdanovic to fill their role.

Re: You guys should trade for one of Philly's bigs
I would rather Knight and the 4th. The thought of Bled Booker and Okafor on the floor together pleases me. Okafor is the perfect C. for a team to run a streach 4 with. He is not guardable in the post so he commands a double team, with shooters like Telly and booker and slashers like Bled and Warren on the floor keeps good spacing for everyone. Getting rid of Knight is one of the positives of the deal and the fact that we ship him back to the east, knight killed us whenever he played against us, now he is so annoying!

Re: You guys should trade for one of Philly's bigs
I hope BC trades Okafor ONLY in we can get #4 #13 AND Knight. With our package of 24 and 26. Because if we draft Simmons we need shooting and Knight is a better shooter then Bledsoe and he is younger. BTW guys what can you say about Knight defense?
It makes sense for both teams. Your backcourt is Eric + Booker with Okafor inside plus a stretch 4. We get the guards we need so much.

You want the Suns to give the 76ers two lottery picks and a 24 year old guard who averages 20 pts, 5 ast, and 4 rbs signed for the next four years at a good price in exchange for a rookie center when the Suns already have two centers on the roster. Are you for real? That is the type of package people on here are talking about giving up for Jimmy Butler. Not a rookie center who already had off the court issues. The Suns have had enough of that with Tucker and the Morris brothers. If you want the number 4 pick so much then you can trade the Suns Okafor AND the return of the Lakers pick and we can call it a deal.

Well, Bulls would not trade Butler for that package and BTW some of the Suns fans agreed on that trade so I guess its not that crazy.

Some Suns fans also said they would trade Booker, Len, and Warren plus all of the Suns draft picks for Butler too. You think that is a good idea also. Give me a break. Ryan McDonough does not get fleeced on trades like that. The 76ers are the ones that want to get rid of Okafor for whatever reason. Don't you see that. They are not the ones holding the pick here. The Suns are. You want the number four pick? Gotta pay a HUGE PRICE for it. If not, too bad. You will not get it then.

Re: You guys should trade for one of Philly's bigs
Len is shooting like 31% between 10 and 14 feet, opponents were sagging off and daring him to take it , he isn't a floor spacer by any stretch of the imagination as of now. We need to find another frontcourt partner for Jah

I wouldn't do that. I think #4 + Knight for Jah + #24 and #26 would be pushing it. To include the #13 as well would be a big no from me. I wouldn't want to include Chandler in this trade if you guys consider him negative value

We don't need two two additional late firsts, we dont have the room to accommodate even three rooks as it is. Scratch that and we keep our #13

Imo, It would have to be Knight + #13 For Okafor + filler. OR trade #4 straight up For Okafor. Maybe throw in a 2nd rounder (#34) or two to make it work.

Knight + #13 probably won't get it done. Might have to be #4 instead I'm guessing. But definitely not for both picks. Oh and #14 + #26 does nothing for me. I'd only want them if we have a plan in place to flip them for a #18 - #22 pick or something.
