Blue Car Rental: It´s been all over the news that one of the most recognized basketball player in the world, Jeremy Lin of the Charlotte Hornets, played 1 on 1 against a young Icelandic fan when he was at Akureyri on vacation. What has not hit the news is how Jeremy Lin got there - well of course he got there by self-driving a rental car from Blue Car Rental! Where else would he rent his car? It did not come as a surprise that he really liked the Land Cruiser Adventure we supplied him with and the whole Icelandic experience...

The below picture, of part of the Blue Car Rental team with Jeremy, was taken when he returned the car this morning. Although we have a lot of good basketball players at Blue Car Rental we did not offer him a pick-up game. Instead we discussed economics and sought some advise from the Harvard graduate on how Iceland can remove the Icelandic Indexation...

It's not just the 14yr old, it seems everyone in Iceland is tall (it's where they found the actor to play "The Mountain" on Game of Thrones).

Looks like his Icelandic vacation with his family is ending. Back to training. I wonder if he'll be doing his off-season training in the Charlotte Hornets facilities or if he's already packed up and moved out all his stuff to train back home in California (he usually pays for specialty training facilities, like Sparta Science with their analytic force plates monitoring equipment and software).

its the offseason so its very hard to stay on topic. Boredom has fully set in at this point. I'm watching the freaking spelling bee right now for gods sake on ESPN2. The weirdness is so real and i'm really just watching hoping they screw up and cry

Edit 8: This is bull. Why do they spell different words? They should all be in a soundproof room then each come out and spell the same word. Some kids are getting straight redonkulous words with no language of origin while other kids are getting the equivalent of words like dog and cat

Jeremy Lin is in Iceland and yesterday a 14-year-old kid spots him at an ice cream shop in Akureyri, northern Iceland. They ended up playing a 1-on-1 in the kids backyard.

Should I upgrade to Windows 10? I bought my new laptop last summer with Windows 8.1. I have about 1 month left before my free Windows 10 upgrade expires. I have been putting it off all year because I hate making big changes to a computer that is working perfectly fine. What are the main pros and cons? How long does the upgrade take? Anything I should be aware of before I do the upgrade?

My wife and I start out first AT section hike tomorrow. 7 day trip starting at Springer and looking to get at least 75mi in before we have to cut out.

As soon as we get back we pack up, say goodbye to the Carolinas, and move to Florida. Gonna be a busy year for us

This was my wife's first time moving any sort of real distance and her first time using this new Osprey pack as well. I move fast enough with a ruck on to break most people and she kept up well enough covering ~10 miles a day, especially on some of the uphill portions with her pack coming in at just under 25lb.





Most of the views from a camera don't do it justice. We did the southernmost portion and caught some fantastic views from some of the mountain tops. Definitely plan finishing the remaining 1900 miles section by section

Don't be too envious. We can't move into our new house until the 10th, which also happens to be the day I start work again. So I'm driving a uhaul with a towed jeep 10 hours down the coast when we've had flooding along parts of it due to a tropical storm.

Then we have to unpack everything into a storage unit, and finally reload a truck and unpack into the house in the afternoons while I get settled at work.

This is where I say no me gusta

It looks like this little family trip to Iceland has made him a national darling in Iceland. First coverage from Iceland Magazine and now The Iceland Monitor. And on top of that, you reportedly have local media calling up the local kid for interviews about his game with Lin. And some new Icelandic fans signing up to the Lin-centric sites recently.

So I'm strongly considering rewatching Lost. I remembering loving 3/4s of it and hating the end but don't remember much in between.
