This is the move where Les Alexander may have finally lost a lot of us long-time, die-hard fans. I have no confidence in this move or this team moving forward.

I think Kobe was the core malcontent as regards D'Antoni in LA, although definitely Pau/Dwight were not fans, either.

One thing I actually like about D'Antoni is that he will stand up to players. Of course, a coach has to pick his battles carefully.

fun fact - kobe chose number 8 initially when entering the league because he grew up in italy and it was the number worn by his idol and favorite player in italy...

that player was mike d'antoni

Yep. Felt bad for both guys about how their relationship seemed to deteriorate when D'Antoni was with the Lakers. Had to have sucked for both of them.

Many people blame D'Antoni for Kobe's Achilles injury. I'm not sure if Kobe is among those people.

That's probably a myth, he wanted 33 which was retired from Lakers so he chose 8 which was his Adidas camp registration number summed up. Atleast that's the popular story.

This will be good for both Harden and Howard.

Please don't even joke about that.

Will never happen with Harden there, I don't think. I doubt any of the involved parties want to go through those 2 years again.

Now if Harden decides to take his talents to another team, however...

i have a different view... i think Lin/Harden pair was darn good, would be better if they stayed together longer ... you guys sounded that pair was a failure which is absolutely wrong, the truth is they had some success

imo no one knows the real reason but i'm leaning towards the italy theory

he wanted 33 bc it was his dads number

he actually DID wear #8 as a kid in italy after his favorite player pringles. i feel like thats more personal and likely than something arbitrary from a camp

This news is going to drive me to drink. I'm talking the serious hard stuff.

Unfortunately, the hardest stuff I have access to right now is NyQuil.

And I have been fighting a cold. Maybe I'll just take the recommended dosage and go to bed early.

It was good and I know Lin likes (liked) the system Houston ran. He's said that a number of times since leaving.

The problem for Harden and Lin is that both want the ball in their hands. Although Lin has greatly improved in playing off the ball since his time in Houston.

An injury is the only thing that can stop Harden from leading the league in attempted shots, attempted free throws and turnovers next year.

"Houston, we have a problem" is from the movie Apollo 13. The actual quote from the mission was "Houston, we've had a problem."
