Marc stein was just on ESPN. He said this was the owner, Leslie Alexander's call.

Morey wanted JVG. Alexander was not sold on him, he's a fan of D'antoni.

This is what's going to end up getting Morey fired.

Harden will be gone in two years.

Unfortunately, the hardest stuff I have access to right now is NyQuil.

And I have been fighting a cold. Maybe I'll just take the recommended dosage and go to bed early.

Can I suggest u try weed man? It's a lot better on your stomach and liver and just more healthy and fun in general :)

This qualifies as the dumbest thing that I've read on the internet today, and I've been reading a lot of Baylor football fans reactions to Briles' firing.

He'll finally be able to get 50 shots a game like his buddy Westbrook!

And what exactly has stopped Harden from shooting before?

From not controlling every single possession of the game! Now he gets to dribble the ball up the floor and shoot. He doesn't have to give the other players dirty looks any more!

I just don't get what the blueprint is for him in Houston. This team is not a run and gun Phoenix style team. They don't have the pieces.

I mean its not like anybody was stopping him from doing that before. When he doesn't have the ball he takes a break in between possessions, Its just his fat lazy ass that's too tired to move when he doesn't have the ball in his hands.

So now James Harden chucking it from 3 with 19 on the shot clock is going to be a designed play?

It's funny I thought D'Antoni was the worst coach when he was with the Lakers I couldn't stand him. Then 2 years of Byron had we wishing he stayed. There's definitely worse options out there so Houston fans shouldn't feel too bad.

LOL PRINGLES RETURNS AS A HC. I honestly think this one may work out if they add more players who can shoot the 3. If Harden plays PG that would be interesting. I mean he would probably just tske over the ball handling more than usual and add a three point PG next to him. Howard in his prime would have been good in this situstionbut injuries have slown him down even though he can be effective somewhat. Interesting to see what happens this season with this team

This sucks. If we were serious about winning, we would not have chosen this guy. Les is stubborn. He probably just sees his vision of a flashy scoring offense selling tickets.

This isn't a good sign for Morey's position with Rockets management to get this badly overruled with ownership basically hiring someone who's the complete opposite of what he wanted.

Also pretty much has to be the nail in the coffin for Dwight in Houston, doesn't it?

I think it's a good hire. D'Antonini is a good coach if his stars buy in into his system. The lakers made a paste season surge the moment Kobe and Pau bought in into his system. Dwight is not the sharpest tool in the shed so I fully expect him to opt out now. This is Houston's way of throwing him the middle finger while saying peace out!

Dwight hated the guy when he was on the Lakers. Dwight's gone. Which may not be a bad thing.

D'Antoni didn't know how to use him anyway. So no, it won't be a bad thing.

That said, I don't see what MDA can do with this current Rockets roster. MDA has proven with Melo and Kobe he doesn't know how to coach ball dominant and iso heavy guards, so I don't have a ton of hope for the marriage between he and Harden.
