then you look at those knicks rosters and see david lee was their best player and it's like he was a miracle worker to win as many games as he did

no, you were right. tom hanks says 'houston we have a problem':

who cares what some astronaut said

This qualifies as the dumbest thing that I've read on the internet today, and I've been reading a lot of Baylor football fans reactions to Briles' firing.

That's what you think.

Dwight is not the sharpest tool in the shed so I fully expect him to opt out now. This is Houston's way of throwing him the middle finger while saying peace out!

No, they made a surge when they tuned him out.

Didn't Howard leave primarily due to D'antoni and Kobe? He's opting out for sure this summer and I don't see why he would want to go back to Houston. Maybe Dallas can pick him up for cheap? Howard obviously shown he's not a number 1 option so he shouldn't make that type of money. Wouldn't it be crazy Dallas gets Dwight and Deron eventually after striking out with them in their prime but getting them now that their values have sunk. Too bad Dwight will be looking for a max contract 30mil this off season when he really doesn't deserve it.

The guy's a genius on offense. One of my favorite plays ever drawn up.

Yeah, he left LA to get away from a ball-hog in Kobe and a coach who didn't know how to use him with D'Antoni. Now he's in Houston with a ball-hog in Harden and a coach who still won't know how to use him in D'Antoni.

Dwight's gone. Not sure he goes to Dallas. Potentially could, but he won't come "cheap" no matter where he ends up, so I wouldn't be putting much stock in that as a Mavs fan.

Rockets rather have Dantoni than having Dwight back.

It's hard to have a good defensive team when your two best players are bad defenders like Nash and Amare were.

"Just having a defensive coach for the first time in my career is going to help," Stoudemire said. "I've never been taught defense in my whole career. To now have a coach that actually teaches defense and teaches strategies and knows positioning and posture and how to guard different plays is going to be helpful."

and it really doesn't help when those players coaches don't give a damn about that side of the ball

Maybe a true sign of the worm turning is that Sacto, Orlando, and Minny came out of this coaching cycle smelling like roses, while many of the traditional powers appeared to gamble or reach. I like Brooks to Washington too, although opinions vary.

Agreed. I'm sure it's why the Rockets are bringing in assistants to take care of that side of the ball.

Mike D gets a bad rap but with Harden and a roll man like Capela with a stretch 4 in Motiejunas the offense will be fine. On the other hand, his defense depends entirely on his players, he won't have bad defensive players defend better but he surely doesn't make a good defensive player defend poorly.

chandler, marion, and bell were all elite defenders on d'antoni's watch and amare for sure didn't get any better defensively post-d'antoni

obviously he just didn't want to take responsibility for his lack of defensive effort and ability
