glad he made it, he obviously has work to do but his impact is undeniable.

he can make first team as soon as next year (best center next year) if he continues to progress like he has.

now just need to have KCP make an all-defense team!

How the hell does Jordan make first team? I like him, but c'mon.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Davis lost $24 million due to not being named into any of the 3 All-NBA Teams, wow.

3 players from the 2012 draft made 'All NBA' team this season and none of them were named Anthony Davis. :o

Yes, but only because he had too much time lost to injury (although that's been the ongoing knock).

That and his team sucked this season and took a big step backwards (granted they were hit pretty hard by injuries). Cousins was only player to make All NBA that was not on a playoff team. Center position is much weaker than the Forward positions though so nowhere near the competition for those spots.

Is there anyone here that would prefer DeAndre Jordan on this team rather than Drummond?

No not really we don't have Chris Paul. He made big improvements on defense so its large possibility that Andre can too.

Fantastic. I really hope this shuts up everyone about Drummond. He has his warts, and needs to make strides in certain areas but the thing everyone needs to remember and it is of the upmost importance as Andre lands on his first all nba team;

If they were eliminate the hack a shaq entirely at some point, we will really see Drummond emerge as a dominant force worthy of an all nba spot even if the center spot was removed from selections. Right now it's pretty difficult when a team can force you to sub out, and I don't have much faith in Drummond himself to improve his FT% high enough to where using the strategy is useless.

Will be interesting to see what the league does.

I severely doubt Dre gets his FT% up significantly for next season. FTs is one of those things where centers just don't focus on growing up, so they never develop a great foundation when heading to the college/pro level. Whereas the 1-4 positions develop some semblance early on.

Also I blame AAU coaches for shoehorning the center label so impulsively to these kids so the FTs inevitably take a backseat for more PnR practices and post moves.

HS & AAU coaches in the USA need to take responsibility for the players lacking fundamentals.

Too busy trying to win games as opposed to developing better players/men.

I hate saying this, but Towns, just wow. HOFer written all over him. Dre can be too, but not that dominate offensively. He has the potential to be great on d (foot work, speed) just needs to know positioning. I wish we would've kept Ben one more year

I agree 100%. On the first page I said he's already the second most talented center behind Cousins, and he's only going to get better. His basketball IQ is off the charts, and the raw skill set (can literally do everything at a basic level at least) + physical tools are there. Rare to find that combination.
