Look, i love me some Bledsoe. Honestly one of my favorite Suns PG's of all time. But doing something like this could really boost our team. If Philly and Boston dont agree on a trade, more than likely Boston will be drafting Bender. That would leave us Dunn at #4. Boom! Bledsoe replacement. With the #8 pick, we would have pretty much any PF of our choosing (Labissiere/Davis/Chriss). At #13 we could snatch up anyone who is dropping in the draft, or even better use it in trade.
Just an idea as i saw a few article mentioning trading WCS to move up in the draft to select their future PG and the idea of reuniting Bledsoe with Cousins might really hit home with their FO. Also there was a thread about trading WCS+#8 on the trade board.
Would you make that deal even if Dunn was gone ? Could package #4 + + to Chi for Butler.... and sign Rondo
Rondo is flaming hot garbage. Who would ever want to sign him to what will be a large deal?

Rondo isnt garbage dude.
People loving Dunn.. For being a play maker... Well Rondo is one of the league's best play makers and reliable defender.
Far from garbage... On the right team, he is a legit contributor as proven by his production throughout the years.

Re: The Trade Thread: All Eyes Toward The Offseason
I'd offer Knight and #34 for Okafor. Nothing better. There are solid players that can be had at 4, 13, and 28.
Bender/Murray/Brown at 4, Labissiere/Johnson/Valentine at 13, Maker at 28.
If we can get Bender, Labissiere, and Maker in the draft while also bringing in Bogdan and Horford and somehow get rid of Knight and Chandler that would be one hell of an offseason.

He was really good with 3 hall of famers to set up. Since then, not so much.
It's funny, sometimes I think if people could orchestrate a lineup for the Suns including guys like Rondo, Gay and Cousins we could make the second round of the playoffs. Yet how many wins does Sac get with those guys? Seriously, how good are those guys, as bad as the west was this year, after the top 4 teams, if they couldn't even come CLOSE to making the playoffs?

What part don't you like that makes you think I'm trolling? Is it thinking that I'm short-changing Okafor? There's a reason why the worst team in basketball is trying to trade him after just 1 season.

Re: The Trade Thread: All Eyes Toward The Offseason
Solid reasoning,color me surprised
Okafor's per 36 stats once Ish Smith was acquired (Dec 30th)
23ppg, 8 boards, 1.3 blocks on 58% fg%
defensive stats in that same time
110.4 DefRtg, 48.4 DFG%, 13.2 DFGA, +0.6% Diff%. Then his defensive numbers within 6 feet. 55.3 DFG%, 6 DFGA, -6.0 Diff%.
KATs per 36 in the same time frame
21ppg, 11.7 boards, 1.6 blocks on 54% fg%
Defensive numbers
110.7 DefRtg, 48.9 DFG%, 13.6 DFGA, +1.6% Diff%. Then his defensive numbers within 6 feet, 58.6 DFG%, 7 DFGA, -2 Diff%.

I think someone today said there is only one center that has his type of skills in the nba today, that center being Cousins. He has always been a force to be reckoned with in the playoffs.
To be clear though, I'm not anti Okafor, and if Bender was gone, I might consider trading the 4th pick for him. Trends in the nba change.
The bad thing about McD's plan about always taking the best player (in his mind) and figuring it out later, is that even though he sometimes gets good value in trades, sometimes it takes so long it kills seasons (eg...the last two years).

Re: The Trade Thread: All Eyes Toward The Offseason
Milwaukee played their best basketball with Miles Plumlee at the 5 - an athletic/long center who can finish easy baskets and block some shots.
Assuming Monroe is moved,

Damian Inglis

Tyson Chandler

Robert Covington

I agree with the bold. That's my ideal draft.
Getting rid of Knight and somehow getting Horford would be a miracle.
But I absolutely think you are underestimating Okafor.

He used to be a good defender, but he's not really anymore. He's a selfish, entitled egomaniac who gambles constantly on D, which puts him teammates in awful positions and kills all spacing of the offense. He can pass, but that's about it, and in the process he's toxic to locker rooms. The Mavs teammates voted him out of his playoff share.
Dunn can shoot better than Rondo. He's not a no-guard guy, and he is much more responsible and is currently an elite defender.

We're not drafting him. It's a decade later after constant character questionmarks have popped up and his jumper still hasn't become anything at all.

His only weakness is he cant shoot the 3.
He is really good in everything else.
Put him on a team with a Klay thompson and another shooter and he will be just fine...
Jason Kidd couldnt shoot the 3pter very well either but he still hit enough of them to make a difference.

Whatever.... previous associations factor into many player acquisitions. Rondo here would be no surprise if we find ourselves in need of a pg
