I'm watching the 2008 Olympic team play Argentina. Watching CP, Wade, Bosh, and Bron all healthy and in their prime is something else. Watching this game also made me realize that I completely wiped Michael Redd from my memory.

Continuing my youtube nostalgia tour, I'm watching the 96 Finals between Seattle and Chicago. Payton and Kemp at their peaks were a nice duo. I remember the Heat had a chance to get Payton in his prime and couldn't make it happen.

Its great to relive Kemp's glory days as well. SUCH a dynamic dunker. Super athlete.

The Bulls at that point had Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman able to guard the perimeter. I don't think I've ever seen a team that impressive on defense. It allowed them to basically have nobody underneath and still stop teams cold.

During this series, Payton averaged 46 minutes per game. :o

As great as Pippen was on defense, he could have some poor performances on offense. He averaged 34% FG and 21% 3FG for the series.

Looking at his stat splits he dropped off after the All star break, 58% TS prior to it, and an awful 50% TS after it. Probably fatigue since it was the start of the 2nd 3-peat and he didn't take a year off like MJ.

Dru Smith very lucky he got that 500k this year. He should invest and manage a subway after all this-MettaWorldPanda

I'd agree that fatigue was a big part of it. He and Michael were asked to do SO much. They were the primary ball handlers, the offensive threats and the first and second line of defense.

Olajuwon and Admiral played each other 42 times in the regular season.

Their stat lines:

Hakeem-22 pts, 11 rebs, 3 asts, 2 stl, 3 blks, 44% FG
Admiral-20 pts, 11 rebs, 3 asts, 2 stl, 3 blks, 49% FG

I think that's pretty interesting considering many have written off Admiral due to six games in the playoffs where he averaged 24 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 1.5 steals, and 2 blocks versus Hakeem. Hakeem was better that series, no doubt, but Admiral was so good that those averages are considered a disappointment. *Disclaimer-Admiral is my second favorite player of all time* *Disclaimer #2-Hakeem is in my top five*

oh btw chalms, have you seen an anmie called "Ajin"? i just watched the season 1 on netflix. It's pretty good highly recommend. You can probably find all the episodes on YouTube too. I watch it in Japanese with English subtitles so I can't speak for the quality of the dubbed version (which I usually do not like).

I'm an old school anime fan myself.

I haven't kept up with much of the newer stuff besides OP. I'm partial to the darker stuff like Berserk and FOTNS.
