If BOS doesn't want to give up the #3 for Okafor, we could try to extort the hell out of 'em:

BOS: Okafor
PHI: #4
PHX: Jerebko, #16, BKN '17, BKN '18

The price is so high because the only known valuable quantities are Okafor and the #4 - the BKN picks are speculative, though likely valuable. The only team I could see competing for this kind of deal is Minnesota, so we may be well-positioned to get something like this.

Alright, now for some crazy ****. A rosterbation masterpiece:

BOS in: Okafor, #11, McLemore
BOS out: Jerebko, Bradley, #16, #23, #45, BKN '17, BKN '18

PHI in: #4, Collison, Butler
PHI out: Okafor, #26

ORL in: Len, #26, #28
ORL out: #11

SAC in: Knight, Chandler, Tucker, Goodwin, #16, #23, #34, #45
SAC out: Cauley-Stein, Collison, Koufus, Bellineli, McLemore, Butler, #8

PHX in: #8, Cauley-Stein, Jerebko, Bradley, Koufus, Bellineli, BKN '17, BKN '18
PHX out: #4, Knight, Chandler, Len, Tucker, #28, #34

Bledsoe/#13
Booker/Bradley
Warren/Bellineli
Jerebko/#8
Cauley-Stein/Koufus
+ BKN '17, BKN '18

I think our best option is a deal centered around Knight/Thad with bits and pieces to make it work. Possibly Jack thrown in our #28/#34

Then i'd go as far as to dangle our #4/#13 for Okafor/Saric. Philly drafts Simmons and Dunn, and a wing with the #13.

Len/Chandler
Okafor/Young/Saric
Warren/Tucker
Booker/Bogdan
Bledsoe/Jack/Goodwin

Tele may or may not become redundant. We'd still have plenty of money to go after someone like Barnes/Batum.....which would be a risk.

Thad's on-court impact isn't markedly better than Knight's, and he's older to boot.

With all that's going on, Bellineli is the problem?

I put a slightly amended version of the trade in the Trades & Transactions thread. Curious to see what other teams' fans think. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1449105&p=47578403#p47578403

Creates a bit of a problem at the C spot, but you can't really pass up Okafor for this years 4th pick (and getting out of the Knight contract). Also - a good insurance for Len's last year on his rookie contract. While I'm a big supporter of his, if someone maxes him out, I'd be a bit reluctant to match. And that possibility is real, as the cap skyrockets (dont forget the jersey ads coming in 2017 or '18, another large rise in the cap in my opinion.)

Do most Suns fans feel like it's a necessity to get out of Knight's contract? What about Chandler?

No, I don't think it's a necessity. Some want to get rid of him, but probably the majority would only want to trade him if there was a decent deal on the table. Clearing cap space isn't really a need with the cap today. I think most hope he can stay healthy and find the right role on the team.

They are, and it is. And don't forget Bradley, who really rounds out our backcourt. In the alternative trade I posted on the Trades & Transactions board, I have us keeping Len and #28 and Cauley-Stein going to Orlando for #11.

Have you heard of any teams Philly might be talking to?
What scenarios have you guys been thinking of and which teams? (serious question).

Thoughts on this trade?

PHX sends: #4, Brandon Knight (24), Tyson Chandler (33)
ORL sends: #11, Elfrid Payton (22), Nikola Vucevic (25)

Vucevic has a lot of the same qualities that Okafor has, but instead of moving out of #4 completely, you move from #4 to #11. This trade gets you younger and Elf and Nik are easy players to fall in love with.

For ORL, I'm interested in drafting Dunn mainly. Don't need Knight or Chandler per se, but I was looking at ways to make a trade reasonably work.

Your first trade is not awful (just terrible). Second trade caused temporary blindness. You are giving away too many draft picks and that return **** blows.

I'm not sure about swapping #4 for #11. We would need an additional first round pick or two.

Pass. Vucevic made made Alex Friggin Len look like Hakeem the Dream everytime they matched up. Also I'd rather have Dunn than Elf

Didnt know the suns have a system...

Hornacek tried the 2 PG even 3 PG systen but that went terrible.

Watson's system consists of playing Booker 40 minutes...

There is no system....

Are you somehow under the impression that Jeff Hornacek is our coach? Seriously? Did I miss something? Saying we don't currently have a system because Jeff had a crazy one is nonsense.

Suns DO NOT have a system, they dont have an identity either. I dont even know why its a debate, watching the Suns try to set up Chandler for lobs 4-5 times a game out of broken plays... watching Telly just camp at the elbow and launch shots whenever he gets the ball, no intention of passing it. Booker being ask to create and be a shooter at the same time... Watson saying Morris was the Suns go to guy, then Booker, then Len as an offensive option.. as a jump shooting big man...

its chaos.... no structure at all.

mentioned Hornacek, because he was coach, when the Suns last had a "system".. which was 2-3 PGs.... that was the last time the Suns had a direction..... but it failed.

I can't wait until we all start souring on the Reverend

I'm already there lol. I wish he could be exempt from the media requirements. Every time I hear that walking fortune cookie talk I wanna pull my hair out. Does he have a thought of his Own? Everything that comes out is some proverb from John Wooden or Plato or some ****. I can only imagine what he and Jaylen Brown are like in an interview.

With a lot of the talk surrounded around #4 for Okafor, I don't think Okafor is a defensive big that would satisfy you there either. If you don't like that trade either, then I get where you're coming from.
