Not true. Klay is long, he's a big SG at 6'7'' with a 6'9'' wingspan and 8'9'' standing reach.

Skal has gone way too low during the season in some mock drafts. Yeah, he's struggled, he's still not too far in his development and he's really thin, but he's got too much potential with that length, fluidity and shooting mechanics to fall out of the top 7-8 spots. And he's a great, humble guy by all means. I'd even pick him at 4 if I was the Suns, I don't see why they'd take Jaylen Brown instead of him, it's not like they don't have the time to wait for Skal, or the need for a PF.

If the Timberwolves were in a different position in terms of competing right away, he'd be right up there with Hield and Bender in my list.

Not win now, I don't see a PF in this draft who can give you that at #5, but he's farther ahead in his development.

Lots of jabber about who on the team is untouchable. IMO, KAT is the only player I consider to be "untouchable". From here we have players who show flashes that feed that elusive tease called ... "potential". We will soon find out what players can raise the bar in terms of defense - some can be pushed - some cannot. Bazz might have the most fight - he works the boards and runs the floor far better than Wiggin and Lavine - and his 3pt shot has shown some "potential" in stretchesm and IMO, Bazz is a darkhorse with Thibs.

Draft a player who can play as a rookie - if you don't like, trade the pick. we need to push our players on the roster

I think Ellenson is sort of a win now PF with his production he showed and his filled out body. I do think though that in year one, he would overlap with Bjellica quite a bit. Actually maybe not given he measured 6-11.5 with shoes and could very well be listed at 7-0.

Great! I hope he can improve his stock enough in these workouts for us to justify taking him at #5.

I think Ellenson is sort of a win now PF with his production he showed and his filled out body. I do think though that in year one, he would overlap with Bjellica quite a bit. Actually maybe not given he measured 6-11.5 with shoes and could very well be listed at 7-0.

He may become a solid player, but I'd be a bit scared to pick Ellenson at #5. I don't see a lot of BBIQ in him, and he's going to have problems defensively with how slow he is at 19, more so as a PF.

I don't know, I think he falls between two stools, not enough to contribute right away with his lack of defense, and not enough upside as a longer term prospect. But it could be just me not liking him that much at this point.

Watching Klay singlehandedly win games in the playoffs with his 3-point shooting all but locks in my love for Hield. This team needs shooting more than anything else. If Hield is off the board, I'll gladly take Murray.

Do we think Hield can be the level of a defender that Klay is?

I don't want to overhype/oversell, but yes I think so. I think the main issue with his defense was just him conserving energy for the offensive end. If he's on a team with Wiggins, Towns, and Rubio, and competing for minutes with Lavine, I see no reason why Hield can't become a very good defender, perhaps to the level of Klay.

This is what i wrote about him on May 20
"I like Chriss too and i think he is a Thibs type of guy.
DX has him at #11 but i think he will go up a couple of spots during workouts because he is one of the youngest (18y old).
Maybe a trade down with TOR is a possibility. #5 for #9 and #27 and pick him with the #9."

He is my #1 guy if we trade down. I think he will end somewhere between #7-10.

It would be cool if they someway explain why those moves are made, even if they dont bring any sources, at least say based on workouts, FO opinions or their own.

I just hope his hype continues. More chances to get Bender .

Would love Chriss if he wasn't such a horrible rebounder. Maybe that is fixable since a lot of that is getting into position and boxing your man out? Seems like one of the easiest things to improve on, especially somebody with his athleticism.
