His jump shot form needs to be changed, in my mind that's pretty broken, his step back isn't even good, and neither is his ball handling.

Just saw Chriss at #3 on DX lol I've been saying he'd get into the top 5 since before he was even on their mock draft in mid March, so I'm pretty happy about that, although I kind of doubt he goes that early.

Maybe you should have watched this one. Especially when it talks about his shooting potential. Totally disagrees with you about shot being broken, actually says the opposite :o

Maybe if he cuts his hair.

I think that's another one of his strengths. But I even like Bembry's hair better Image

Yes, obviously the opinion on him is polarizing on this board just like apparently it is among nba scouts and front offices, which is why Ford says he could go really high or slip into the 20s. Though I was a little shocked to read he thinks it''s possibly he could slip THAT far.

Good video of a recent Skal workout with Bill Bayno. He seems to be working on his body and trying to work on being more physical, his footwork in the post drills looked pretty good too. I don't know if he's worth the 2nd pick like he said, but he spoke pretty highly on him.

Murray is not an effective PG right now, I doubt he could even run an NBA second unit he is probably a worse facilitator than Knight coming out. Kentucky fell out of the APTop 25 under his helm and he failed to register a ast/turnover ratio that broken even. Heonly converted 49% his field goal attempts in transition situations, 36% in isolation situations and 38% in pick and rolls. Subpar handle creating separation off the bounce, poor court vision and is too slow to turn the corner and collapse a D. He is a crafty spot up specialist with a smooth stop and pop J he can nail with a hand in his face. He can drive a closeout and creative in traffic with his arsenal of floaters and off hand finishes, but he’s not gunna blow by anyone and often settles for low percentage pull ups.

Unless Chriss' shot has grown beyond belief I can't see him making much of an impact for 2-3 years in the league. For McD who's job is somewhat on the line that's a huge gamble. Bender's size and defense plus Murray's ability to score can contribute to wins right away. Chriss is such a project.

Some more than others based on skills they've displayed... And fit.

Ainge apparantely has an aversion to drafting internationals, he only picked Bebe for Toronto. I'm not that high on either but I would take Bender over Chriss any day of the week

Almost up in the forum mock draft again. Run of power forwards late. If GMs drafted according to fan base, we may not be left with many PF options at 13.

1 PHI Brandon Ingram
2 LAL Ben Simmons
3 BOS Dragan Bender
4 PHO Jamal Murray
5 MIN Buddy Hield
6 NOP Jaylen Brown
7 DEN Kris Dunn
8 SAC Denzel Valentine
9 TOR Marquese Chriss
10 MIL Deytona Davis
11 ORL Jakob Poeltl
12 UTA (it looks like Skal will be the pick here, but he is only leading Korkmaz and Baldwin by one vote
13 PHX

viewtopic.php?f=33&t=1449643

So if Skal holds lead, it's going to come down to a choice of:

Baldwin
Korkmaz
Luwawu
Sabonis
Thong
Ellenson

That's gonna be a tough choice for me. Maybe even with Skal there.

Are you high on anyone? I guess the only one I've seen you say you liked outside of top two is Dunn, or maybe Luwawu or Davis.

Some may have missed it, but I mentioned quite a few pages back when it was leaked we were considering Chriss at 4 that it would be smart for the FO, even if they were looking at Chriss at 4 (but liked Bender better) to mention they liked him because ultimately they could either draft him at 4, or potentially make Boston take a look at him too and start to give him more consideration.

Now I wouldn't exactly expect such a tactic to really work on Ainge, but McD used to do scouting for him to some extent.

It would be interesting if that was McD's intention because stuff doesn't usually get leaked from him, and interesting he moved to 3 shortly after the mention we were thinking about him at 4.

Btw: Bender and Okafor are my boys, not Brown. He is third on my list and if I can find enough evidence of Murray being able to play PG he'd be fourth on my list and if we were to move Bledsoe or Knight, Dunn would be back to 1st on my list, so Brown could slip down to number 5 from three........I am objective like that 8-)

Any pre-draft chatter from Ainge should be ground up and spread on your garden.

and DX also produced basically matching scouting reports for Archie and Jaylen...

But at least we agree one Bender and Okafor both being better moves with our 4th pick than Brown lol. Although my big board has Brown somewhere around #9 behind Simmons, Ingram Bender, Okafor (pretending he's an option with 4th pick), Murray, Dunn, Hield, and Chriss with a few stragglers being rated fairly similarly. If he somehow dropped to the 13th pick, I'd be running to the podium to take him, I just really don't like the idea of him at the 4th pick. I see all of the upside with him and am a big fan of upside prospects, I'm just very apprehensive because he didn't show much basketball IQ at Cal and has a lot of holes in his game that need filling, and I prefer TJ to him honestly.

I'm confused, all of this is just speculation lol why are you acting like McD and Ainge have done anything because some online mock drafts have changed? Chriss at 4 was just Ford speculating in the first place.
