Noah is not in any position to demand a big contract at this point with his injuries . I think he would be getting a 12 to 14 mill a year max at this point.

. Over the years, Morey has been shuffling players all over the league, d-league, euro-league, CBA ...you can see 3-5 former rockets in every team :lol:

I don't mind Lin. I actually like Lin.

What I do not like are the legion of overzealous fan-only posters who came through this place like a hurricane during his time here. They made the mood in this place so toxic that we ended up losing several good, knowledgeable posters because they were tired of the antics of a bunch of people who didn't care about the Houston Rockets at all. We could barely have game threads without some ardent Lin fans derailing every discussion and getting wildly antagonistic whenever even the slightest critique of Lin's game was made.

I do not want to go through that again. I do not want to deal with perceived insults, false claims of racism and the denigration of the Coach, GM, and other Rockets whenever things do not go exactly as those fanatical posters wanted.

If Lin does come back then as a Rockets fan I am happy because he would again be a good fit. As a moderator of this forum I know that it just means that misery is ahead of us if things are allowed to go as they were before. If Lin returns things will have to be very different around here in regards to dealing with trolling and passive-aggressive posting that is insulting to the Team and to the users of this forum in general.

And before you make a claim that I am not being fair with this mentality please be aware that the last time Lin was on this team we had some posters who clearly were Lin fans before they were Rockets fans and they got along just fine here. I went out of my way on several occasions to make sure that they were protected from people acting improperly towards them. That will happen again, but for those who wish to push the envelope they will find a much less lenient reaction to attempts to re-create the toxicity that this place never really recovered from in the past couple years.

You, for example - I have no problem with you and I welcome you as a fellow Houston sports fan. I hope that you are more involved, even if Lin does not end up on this team. That said, I have been made aware that your screen name has something to do with a poster over at the Clutch Fans forum. Whatever that beef is...I don't care. That's your thing, man! I just ask that people do not import drama or issues from other forums with which we have no association. If there's a fight to be had then do it there.

Long story short (too late, I know), I am ready to welcome any new fans to the Rockets forum no matter how they get here. There are posters who were Lin-first fans who I truly do miss having around here. They brought good conversation and put the Team first. If they come back they will be welcome. There will not be a repeat of what happened a few years ago in regards to the others. That will not happen again. Agenda-driven behavior designed to disrupt the community will not be tolerated. This is not our first rodeo.

Not a fan of Raymond Felton.

Wonder if Evan Fournier would want to come off the bench and provide some shooting. He can be one of the less expensive options out there, and we should look at him if our main targets are taken.

i like Jared Dudley's BB IQ more than anything else, and he is a very good shooter... the guy knows his strength, his weakness and his role in the team well... he is the ultimate team player, a glue guy... he might not be athletic, but he has quick hands... a good vet. presence in the team....

Mirza is a full UFA coming off the book on a 5.5m/per contract. I even cast him my vote in the 6POY thread on GB. Dude is severely underrated playing for teams like the Nets and Suns. A 6'9 2/3/4 combo, upgraded version of Omri, fits our team perfectly.
