Yeah, I do believe it could work with the right roster and Dantoni matches Morey philosophy. This is a boom or bust transaction.

I do love the Bdzelik hire.

Is that official? I knew that they were interested in him, but so were a lot of other teams.

My understanding was he was coming in with Mike, but I'm not very close to this one. I could be wrong and in that case, hopeful it happens.

So perhaps Les has the MDA - Lin - Asian money in mind?

Or he is seriously obsessed with Linsanity?

Anyhow, Lin makes a lot more sense now than before the hiring. Otherwise, would he give Harden the Nash/Lin role?

If that is a driving factor for Les then I'd prefer that he draft Zhou Qi as a project center.

Even if that isn't a driving factor for Les I want them to draft that guy if he is available. He's on the slim side now, but 7'2" skilled players don't grow on trees!

Les has enough contacts and Sponsorship deals thanks to Yao(a real superstar) that he dose not need role players get him a foot hold in the Asian market. Plus everyone knows by now that linsanity was a two week fluke period. It is over. Rockets had to include a 1st rounder to get lin off their hands so I highly doubt they are looking for a reunion.

That ship has well and truly sailed out of this port.

It's quite funny that D' Antoni said he likes Beverly and that he will have an important role, but goes on to say that he doesn't know his role is. Could be an overnight package out from Houston.

I don't think that's what he meant. He just needs to have some practices to find a distinct perfect role for Bev vs how it felt like no one had a specific role last season

Yeah, I know. Just trying to stir something up. Can't wait for this offseason. Sick of watching the Warriors get all the glory.

MDA referenced DMo more than Dwight today. Maybe he will push for Dmo to come back

Dmo is great fit for mda. But maybe as a center not forward?

Most likely as a energy defensive lockdown defender off the bench. He had Raja Bell in Phoenix. He might use him that way. Granted Raja was a far superior overall player.

Off the bench in favor of who? Mike Conley is the only free agent that's better suited as a starter. Lin is probably just as good but has shown he's best as a sixth man

I would think either via free agents or trade the team will look to upgrade the backcourt. Hell we might go after a Courtney lee type and even start Harden at the one and have a Lee or even Affalo type at the two.

Afflalo has been awful the past two years. Beverley is a much better option.

I said type. A combo guard like that. Best case scenario would be Evan Fournier or a Holiday from the Pelicans but that's probably unrealistic.Fournier will be asking for a lot of money and the Pelicans will want a lot in return for Holiday. Lee might be realistic.

~lol~ Well, that would take a lot of luck to be able to draft him!

Or maybe Les is just a huge fan of him!(Lin)

Now that he has negotiated a buyout and will be available in 2017 I'm not confident that the Rockets will be able to get the guy. His draft stock should have dramatically improved with the buyout.

I know that I was one of the guys who was saying that I preferred the Rockets making the Playoffs, but now that has come home to roost for me. Three guys in this draft I like are Zhou, Bender & Sabonis. I don't think that the Rockets have a snowball's chance in hell of trading up for any of them.

How about Thon Maker? I think trading Ariza can get us a mid first rounder. Surely Boston isn't going to keep all 3 of their first rounders?
