Ric Bucher thinks we lack "gumption" to take Dunn first overall but would trade Okafor for him.

Everyone and their mother is reporting how Colangelo is in love with Dunn. I really hope this guy has been around long enough to know that you need to keep these things close to the vest.

I'm not a fan of Bleacher report, but I agree that this is a 3 player draft and the difference between 1 and 3 is not as big as people think.

Simple.Shooting. Its a skill that gets people excited, especially on this team as we have lacked a good one for quite sometime now.
With the Warriors the biggest team in the league led by Curry/Klay, it opens peoples eyes and immediately becomes the "blueprint" to try and duplicate (small ball/ shooting). That being said, I also don't think people understand how truly unique and rare Curry/Klay are in terms of shooting the ball. They will go down as 2 of the best, and Curry will likely be the greatest shooter of all time.

Murray lacks a complete game, but is young and can absolutely shoot the ball, which should translate to the next level. I prefer Dunn but I can see some of the logic on why people would possibly want to pair him with a Simmons/Embiid/Noel front court.

Id really like to hear what Brett Brown really thinks about Okafor.

Every time Brown get's into talking about "how he wants to play" etc, It is always PACE,PACE,PACE. Both up an down and side to side, he wants to play fast, spread you out in a variety of ways and attack quickly.

If that is still the case, could this be another reason Okafor could be the odd man out?

Noel certainly fits the bill as a 5 that can defend, start transition opportunities off of blocks/steals and run the floor.
Embiid was pretty athletic and could do it as well.
Simmons thrives getting a rebound/steal and running in transition.
Saric as well.

I really think there is something in the works and they favor Dunn. I've probably listened to every post-lottery interview with Brown and Colangelo and I've heard both go out of their way to bring up and praise Dunn when being asked to critique specific prospects (i.e. Simmons and Ingram). They both sounded excited when talking about him (and Simmons) and kind of a blah tone when talking about Ingram. I follow the Sixers on Facebook and they posted a profile link for Simmons yesterday and Dunn today. No Ingram yet....

I also agree with others that Dunn looks like a young D Wade out there, but with better passing. He will be a star IMO.

What does everyone think of Hield? He really reminds me a lot of McCollum coming out of college. Doesn't have the same handles/passing, but will probably be a better defender (stronger, bigger wingspan). I've watched all of the DX Pre-Draft interviews, and Buddy's really stood out to me. He brings up a great point that he didn't grow up in America, and so his skills just weren't there when he got into college. Said that he'll continue to get better because he'll outwork everyone.

I don't mind Hield. He can shoot the ball and get his shot off quickly.

I prefer Dunn, but I'm all for adding guys who can make shots around Simmons/Embiid.

I like Buddy Hield, but I have no idea how he's being talked about in the top 5 and Denzel Valentine is struggling to maintain a top 20 projection. Denzel is the better all-around player, pretty easily, while being proficient in all the same areas that make up Buddy's strengths.

I think maybe just the ceiling of Buddy's shot, what if his offensive game becomes Klay like? He absolutely has the work ethic.

Hate the concept of using a top 5 on Hield. I see a lot of Jodie Meeks + another year. 4th year senior that rode a hot shooting season to a way higher draft position imo.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Its funny man, everyone loves shooting the 3 now and ppl dont wanna take the best 3pt shooter. We absolutely need this kid. He'll be a much better player and shooter than Brad Beal

I like the idea of getting Hield and Baldwin, but I'm afraid Baldwin will be taken before 16. DX has him being taken at 10 right now. I'd offer Noel to Phoenix for 4 and take Hield (if Dunn is gone). I'd then offer Covington + two late firsts to Toronto for 9 and take Baldwin.

I really, really don't like Hield at all as a prospect, I can't imagine him being a top 5 pick - it would be disturbing to me if we were the team that's picking him in the top 5.

I'd rather just take Murray and I don't like Murray either.

The problem is that this draft sucks after the first 2. Is Murray someone that is really worth a top 5 pick? Hield? Maybe Dunn, and maybe Bender, but the rest are not guys that a traditionally worth a top 5 pick.
