Cavs are super talented and will figure out the offense - but the defense is a big problem. I don't think you can play love and Irving. I think they'd be better with a lesser player that can defend at an average level.

Same, Cleveland just can't guard them consistently. Especially when they play Love so much, he such an awful defender.

Irving is just as much of a culprit. They didn't know where they could hide him defensively and a big part of the Warriors run was giving the ball to whoever he was guarding (Livignston and Barnes).

Only chance Cavs have at stealing the next game is to play less of Irving and Love together. Said that from the beginning. Their defense is just too bad to offset anything they bring offensively.

LeBron as assist away from a triple double yet he has been invisible this whole second half. Way too passive.

And yet, since he came back from his injury, I can't recall a single time he took one of those shots when I thought it was a bad shot.

I've seen him miss shots, but I've never seen him take what I would describe as a bad shot. Such a smart player.

DeRozan should really study tape of his game. If DeRozan played with that type of IQ, I'd be happy for him to go on shooting as many mid-range jumpers as he wants.

True, but Livingston is almost always guarded by players that are significantly shorter than he is and he plays for a team that finds good looks for everybody. If you put DeRozan on the Warriors and had 6-foot defenders on him 75% of the time, most of his shots would look like great shots.

Umm no. Livingston is a good role player. We need offense. I'm not sure why you're even comparing the two.

Derozan wouldn't even have a role on GS. He would get no run at all.

It's embarrassing how trash the East is.

Any one of the Spurs, Warriors or Thunder could have kicked the Cavs asses.

Like I said in another thread, they have 6-7 players in their rotation that are all above average to elite triple threat players. Shooting, dribbling passing. There's really no way to defend them.

Totally Agree. And other key thing with those 7 guys is, they all have quick feet defensively and are good at cutting off passing lanes. It's ridiculous.

Horrific defense, dumb TO's and poor 3 point shooting...

Could have been a result of fatigue of the wars with Indy and Miami especially the surprising poor D

It's not just the players, it's also the system Kerr has deployed, lots of movement, passing and sharing the ball that resulted in many easy baskets. No selfish iso's like under Casey-ball.

This is the type of game a road team can steal. Pretty terribly game by the Cavs.

Ok, so an all star wouldn't even get any run at all, not even as a role player

You probably shouldn't talk about basketball anymore.

Shows how far we are from true contention. We would've lost to this Dubs team by like 50.

Yeah, the cavs have a massive issue. Their best offensive unit includes Irving and Love together, but when they play together it's also their worse defensive unit. Irving's got issues with reading cuts and recognition, but goddamn Love is just useless defensively. At least irving is quick and can generally stay in front of his man 1 on 1, Love can't even do that.
